With the commandment "thou shalt not kill," it would imply that we should not play God. I have heard He does not like that.

In that sense, is it safe to say, "thou shalt not prolong life?" I mean, in this aspect, we continue to play God.

Does this mean I should let my stomach ulcer eat my entire intestinal lining at a slow and painful pace, in order to ensure I am following what God says or implies? I mean, I have already given up sex with my girlfriend for the Big Guy, so I should probably give up modern medicine too, then... right?

I always thought that if the handbrake was up and the e-brake light was turned on on the dashboard, then the e-brakes were in affect. However, my friend told me that I was wrong and that if you push the button on the handbrake while pulling up, the handbrake will not take in effect and that I would have to pull the handbrake up without pushing the button to make the clicking noise. Personally, I pull up without pressing the button, but I thought as long as the lever was up, the indicator light was on, then the brakes were being used. Please set me straight. Thanks.

I had asked about this earlier. However, I have a new development since then, so I'm starting a new post because all I can do it edit the other, and not sure if the question would be noticed, by the already very helpful people.Ok, so here's the issue:
The heater does start to blow warmish air. However, if the engine is running you cannot use the defroster. As soon as you turn the knob to either the defost/mix or full defrost, for whatever reason it changes to air conditioning and starts to blow out freezing cold air. After investigating this, while on the phone with my dad who is a car guy, we assume it's a "fan"/valve. So what would be the name of the part I need to get replaced, where is it located? I've tried looking on Autozone.com and Oreilly's for a heater valve, and cannot find anything like that. Also, I should mention that when you switch the fan to the 4th notch only(right before full blast) it shuts everything off. Wiring bad?All other levelsfine

I asked this question last night and got an answer. The answer is totally appreciated, but my gut feel is there is something mathematically wrong here... I was expecting the wind speed to be upwards of 40km/hr, not .7km/hr. Would someone be able to review the math used in the answer? Thank you kindly.

ok... I have a fan with a 36" diam capable of moving 10,354cfm. The fan is mounted in a round tube that tapers down to a 2'X2' square tube. Through the 2' x 2' section of tube, approximately what sort of wind speed can I expect? Also, can you provide a formula that can help me calculate this for different CFM values.

The Answer I got...

2' x 2' = 4 square foot cross section
10354 ft3/min / 4 ft2 = 2588.5 ft/min
2588.5 ft/min * 0.000305 km/ft = 0.7894925 km/hr

This, of course, asuumes 100% efficiency. I hope this helps you.

I'm undecided on this one. I'm a Christian, so I don't mind the phrase. In fact, I like it. :) On the other hand, the people who put the phrase in the Pledge in the first place were hypocrites, as they thought that these two words would save the U.S. from the Communists back in the '50s, but as most everyone who has lived in America for a long time knows, America (in general) doesn't exactly follow the ways of God. Saying God's name and then renouncing Him won't save anybody.

You're saying that feminism has hurt boys' educations...yet you are also saying your IQ scores are still higher than girls' IQ scores.
