well, my dad just got me a mac computer, and ive been playing with for a few days, and i really wanted yo get mt itunes on there, i have over 1,000 songs and i plug my ipod into the mac but it wont download the songs, do i have to buy a special cord or something. Ive always had a pc and im really new at macs so please be really specific

The process is the same for Windows or Mac. You put the iPod in disk mode (see the article in the link below). Then it will be like a drive when you connect it to your Mac. Open the drive icon and search for the song files (whatwhat.mp3 or whatwhat.aac). Drag them to a folder on your hard drive. Another option is to use an application called Senuti -- link below.

If you formatted the iPod with the Windows computer, you should have chosen FAT-32. If it is formatted NTFS, you can't use it with a Mac.

Use your iPod to transfer the songs over. iTunes songs play on Mac or PC just like the software

i think the only way you can is to start over. what i do if i delete itunes and reinstall is write the music or artists that are good, then i just use limewire and get songs back.
