When quoting dialougue in your writing and the quote goes on for many paragraphs, do the marks go at the beginning and end of each paragraph or only at the beginning and end of the quote?

My boss and I both had a similar dream on the same night. Both of our dreams had white snakes with yellow/orange colored markings. In her dream there were work related people and the snake slithered in and she told them to be still. In my dream there was also someone work related in it (someone's son whom I don't really know) and a girl who I didn't recognize who was holding the snake and I kept telling her to move the snake away from me but she didn't listen and it kept coming closer. I had my eyes closed and face turned away but I could feel it coming close to my face - I could barely feel it touching me - tickling my skin with it's breath. I woke up saying get it away from me - I was not cowering but sternly saying GET IT AWAY.

I think it's weird we both had the SAME color SNAKE in our dreams!

You know, those dreams that are so precious to you that you hold them close to your vest, because talking about them casually would almost seem like you were devaluing them?

What do you TRULY want to accomplish in life?

I know, by talking about them here you're talking casually about them, but this is the internet so anonymity does afford some protection for your dreams.

If a guy is doing sweet stuff like taking a girl out for dinner, introducing her to his parents, eating off her plate at dinner, answering the phone in her presence, tickling, holding her hand etc, is there any need for her to worry about him dumping her?

and no, "democracy in iraq" doesn't count. it has nothing to do with terrorism.

i'm sure i'll hear the common conservative refrain of "we haven't been attacked since 9/11", so i'll clear a few things up:

1 the last time 3000 americans were killed on american soil was during the war of 1812
2 whether or not the plot is successful is almost insignificant considering the war and the military in iraq is not who foils the plot. the fbi does. in order to gauge whether or not the war is a success, we need to look at the number of plots (whether successful or not), per capita. if you've followed the news you know that the number of plots per year is on the rise.

well my friend go rejected by my guy friend and she's taking it pretty bad. been sobbing all day and all day and alllllllll day
i personally don't know what she sees in him.. he's really ugly and skinny and immature and stuff. but yeah, i guess she was able to see something that i didn't see in him.
pratically lived in the bathroom during 2nd and 3rd period

well in 5th period when i confronted my guy friend about the situation he was like all emotionless. and say" well i didn't know she liked me".
but then again, i would never ask a guy out because it's unformal and D-E-S-P-E-R-A-T-E. if you really liked a guy that much you would wait for him to ask you. and plus, he likes someone, perferrably someone by the name of, B

but then again, it was really bitchy of him to just pretend like nothing happen, and my friend was not crying her eyes out

Everyone keeps telling me marriage isnt easy and that me and my fiance wont make it but i think we will.. i just wanted others advice.
We tell eachother everything.. literally
We talk everyday
we "live" together (we stay at eachothers parents houses 5 months so far in a row)
we use the restroom together, take showers togehter
we have the same "goals" and wants in life.
we are like the same person
we argue but always reslove it
only thing is.. and i dont think it matters is we are 18

We really do love eachother and respect eachother. we have been dating for a while and his family thinks it is the BEST thing ever.. and the living together, yah no one is ever home at either of my parents houses and it really is like it is our house.
another detail. we are mature for our ages.. im not just saying that..we have been through alot together, we share some bills together, we discuss all financial desicions wi

I've been driving manual stick shift for about 4 months now and i've always had a question about this.

Some of my friends say, if you want to save your clutch from burning out quickly, let go of the clutch faster than normal when shifting gears (the car shakes back and fourth if you let off the clutch a little too fast).

My other friends say this is true, however you will mess up your transmission if you do so, so it's better if you just let off the clutch slowly even though it will wear out.

So i just wanna know if that is true? And should i be driving normally by letting off the clutch slower or just the opposite?

Thanks very much all.

http://www.treas.gov/press/releases/reports/incomemobilitystudyfinal.pdf

Please look at Table 3 of the linked Treasury Dept study on income mobility. They took a look at the tax returns of people over 25 years old in 1996, and the same people again in 2005. They measured their income group by quintiles, and converted all income into 2005 dollars to factor in inflation.

Here's what the study found:
The poorest 20% had their "real median income" go up by 90% from 1996.. The middle 20% (middle class) had their real median income go up by 23%. The richest 1% had their real median income decrease by 25%.

How can this be? I thought the liberals and mainstream media were telling us the poor are getting poorer while the rich are getting richer? Could they have been wrong?

And please don't blame this on inflation, as I have mentioned, inflation has already been factored in and we are discussing REAL GAINS and LOSSES.

talk me through the days leading up to and including December 25. Not that I celebrate Christmas, I am just interested to learn what you do at that time of the year when most of the civilized world seems to be "celebrating". do you hang out with family? do you do anything special? or is just another day?

Thanks for your time in reading and answering my question.
