There should be little or even no pressure for Jr. He knows that he is going to a good team an d doesn't need to worry about that. With DEI, he was always worrying whether or not his engine would blow up. If he continues to drive the way he is now, he will have no problem with next year. I am probably one of few fans who can't wait till ne gets to Hendricks. At least he knows that the motors won't blow up. When was the last time a Hendrick motor blew. It's been a while. NASCAR, it's a way of life!!!

The most pressure on Jr. will be from the media. Those idiots will be sounding like Chicken Little with "the sky is falling" if Jr. doesn't have a win within the first 10 races.
I firmly believe that Hendrick will give him a year to "break in" to his new team. But if he doesn't perform, look for changes with his crew in a hurry.

It don't matter how much pressure Jr. is under he'll always be the 3rd guy no matter what, he has some pretty big shoes to fill, Kyle Busch is a lot better driver than Jr. and I think that Rick Hendrick made to biggest mistake of his life by getting rid of Kyle, Not only does he have big shoes to fill so does Tony Jr.!!!!!!!!!! Can he really get any worse than this year? I hope not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A *lot* of pressure.
Jr will have the best equipment for once and while he can use the "learning the ropes with a new team" excuse, he won't be able to for the second half of the season.
To be honest, I'm expecting he'll have a similar year to Casey Mears; struggle for the first part, have a win mid-season then be consistant for the rest of it. I would be surprised if he made the Chase...but if he's as good as some people reckon, 2009 will be his best shot at the title.

I would think there's huge pressure on Junior next season. No more complaints about DEI - he's in the cream of the crop now. If he can't succeed with Hendricks, I doubt he'll ever be the driver his fans keep hoping he'll turn into.

I already think Hendrick messed up by letting Kyle Busch go and replacing him with an inferior driver. I don't need to wait until next year to realize this.

i think there will be some added pressure because if dale jr doesn't do as well as gordon and johnson people might think hendricks messed up for letting kyle busch go for jr.
i think jr will do great next year though
