This is my baby girl's first Christmas and was wondering what kind of traditions we can start with her? What special things do you do with your children during the holidays and do you have any ideas for starting new ones? I really want her to feel loved and to cherish these times when she is older.

Well i am soooo outgoing, and it is time for me to act. I have always wanted to do the play at school, but its always been a musical. I suck at singing. FInally! it isnt a musical and i was so excited when i heard that. My question is how can i practicee and do you think they will except me?

I'm trying to launch a seminar/speaking career with less than no financial resources. I'm thinking I'll purchase a used camcorder and tripod off ebay, in order to record myself and edit the demos myself. But I know almost nothing about this.

Any particular advice on features to be sure to get (and why) or to avoid (and also, why) would be appreciated. I'm looking at Mustek DV-5200 SD/MMC Card Digital Camcorder and RCA EZ201 Digital Hard Drive Camcorder as well as a few others that come in for under $100. They seem not to have nearly enough storage (32MB or 512MB) and will need upgrades, but beyond that would they really be that poor a choice, given what I have to do?

I notice this happening here even on Yahoo answers. This is a free country so I assume people should be able to date who they want without some racists yelling down their throats. I cant count how many times I have been treated harshly by some black guys when they see Im with a black woman. Why are people so backwards?

My kids ranging from age 21-15 always call mom because they need something. I support my household alone and live pay check to pay check with every day struggles to make ends meet. Then one of my kids call and tell me they need minutes for their phone, gas for their car, extra lunch money. And, with the holidays I am strapped. I feel as if I am at a losing battle here. I would love to hear from the single parents who with me here... and how do you get by or deal with issues like this. At times I feel better off dead than dealing with these issues. My kids are drop outs, smoke pot, drink... and I did my very best raising them. They were spanked, grounded etc. I just don't understand. I just don't get it. What is wrong? Really

The story in a nutshell. Recently, I have begun seeing a guy we will call "John". Our first date, out of the blue, "John" decides to tell me a few things about himself...one of which is "i've never been close to getting married.". I thought to myself, well this is a strange thing to bring up, but im not going to comment on it...and we go about our date perfectly fine. We got together last night, and he tells me "i have no desire to get married any time soon"...again, we were not talking about getting married, i've not said anything to lead him to think i even want to get married...but yet he feels the need to keep telling me...what's the deal here? Im 26, he's 28...yes i want to get married eventually...but it's not first and foremost on my mind...any idea how i should respond to this if he happens to bring it up again...or what exactly should i think about a guy who keeps bringing it up..out of the blue...for no reason...

Men..give me your thoughts :)

I really want to go to UNLV (university of Nevada Las Vegas), but unfortunately they do not offer Geography as a major at all, is there a program I can do through them or something to still get a degree in it?..I really want to go there, but I really want to majro or minor in Geography, I can not think of a better school!

I am from Australia and travelling to Asia. I am going to Thailand and heard that a good hospital in Bangkok did excellent dentistry for foreigners. Does anyone know the hospital I am talking about? Has anyone had any dental treatment done there (or in any practice/hospital) in Thailand?.
Please let me know what treatment you had, if you were pleased with the results and the cost.

I brokeup with my ex after dating for 6 years cause he would not marry me.Well we had been broke up for 6 months and he got in an accident and called me.He cant walk .He is on a walker for the next month and I came back and have been helping with housework,shopping and cooking. His mom also helped and for a breif time I thought I might consider getting back with him.Then about 3 weeks ago I found out his father had cancer and from what I can see he is fading fast he cant eat much and he is very weak.The problem is my Ex has started to treat me like crap.The whole weekend he talked to me like I was a moron.When I had trouble with my car he put me down and made me feel bad.He always says why dont you call your brothers .In the end I called a professional.But he called me a pitiful orphan and said my family wouldnt help me.It hurt and I just thought to myself .I hate him.Next We went and had dinner with his Mom and his Dad asked if we would go to church together as a family.I will but?

My mother in law used to make these cookies that according to my husband and in laws were chocolate with nuts and raisins with a white/clear glaze on them. No one can find the recipe. My mother in law passed away when my husband was 14, almost 17 years ago. My father in law calls them pepper cookies but no one knows if there is actually pepper in them. My husband says they taste like Christmas, pepperminty chocolately, nutty, perfect.
I REALLY need to find this recipe! PLEASE HELP!

If this helps, my mother in law was English, my father in law is Italian. I think the recipe is from his side of the family, not sure. He's from Plains area of PA which I believe has a lot of German. Not sure if that makes a difference or helps at all!
