I notice this happening here even on Yahoo answers. This is a free country so I assume people should be able to date who they want without some racists yelling down their throats. I cant count how many times I have been treated harshly by some black guys when they see Im with a black woman. Why are people so backwards?

Some people are just insecure, racist and jealous obviously. I have experienced that too in person and on here.... ... simply people with no lives.

First of all, Breezy, in his opening question, he clearly said "some" which in case you aren't aware, does not mean all. So perhaps you should get a clue.
To answer your question, it is because of prejudice and jealousy. It ticks off alot of black men to see a black woman with a white guy. Mostly because they are mad and probably wish they were with your woman. For some reason the other way around is more accepted. It is a slow process but people have to learn to accept that who wants to be with who is none of their business and they have no right to object.

I guess some people are just stuck in old ways of thinking e.g. blacks stick with blacks and whites with whites. That is old and outdated thinking and people need to move forward. My husband is white and fortunately we haven't gotten any flax from either side of our families or from people on the outside. Race or color of skin does not matter, what matters is character. You must understand that racism is a spirit that is alive and well today. Instead of fighting evil with evil combat evil with love. Pray for your enemies. That's the best advise I can give to you.

It's primarily insecurity. The insecurity is that if a black woman gets with a white man she must think that white men are better than black men, which is an assumption. People are backwards because they are not willing to change and come out of their ignorance.

Yeah I know I don't understand either. Like that Kellis Jordan girls raises hell when asians are with white guys or other races. I don't understand. We are all people so what's the big deal?

black ppl aren't the only one's that do...white ppl do too.
most of the time they're probably jealous about what u have.
PerSepHon...I have had the same problem...I don't get a black man's attention unless I'm dating a white guy...its really sad b/c I prefer black men over white men

I dont really care; What I do hate is when people give me hell for not wanted to date outside my race. Its like someone converting you do something you dont agree with...It is also like people want to drag you into this new FAD of dating interracially. Once agian, I always see people dating outside their race and I really dont mind it; I just do not prefer to do it myself...

Well first don't tell me you're assuming that all black people are this way, because if so you're wrong already. Second some people just don't approve of it, it shouldn't stop your life or change it any and it's not just certain black people that don't approve of others dating outside their race... get a clue.

i love white men. i dont care what other ppl say or think. if black men have a problem with that then so be it. they surely wasnt knocking my door down to be with me before i found my white man.
