I am from Australia and travelling to Asia. I am going to Thailand and heard that a good hospital in Bangkok did excellent dentistry for foreigners. Does anyone know the hospital I am talking about? Has anyone had any dental treatment done there (or in any practice/hospital) in Thailand?.
Please let me know what treatment you had, if you were pleased with the results and the cost.
Thx

I use this dental hospital for my semi-annual check-ups. It is very good and professional.

I have been going the Bangkok International Dental Center for the past couple years. And have found that the dentists there have a light touch and are very thorough and the rates in comparison to US prices, extremely reasonable. In fact, I had not realized till recently the group had opened 2 additional offices in Bangkok. I started out with Dr. Nisna and the last 2 semiannual visits have been with Dr. Onusa, both women and both very good at what they do. In fact, Dr. Onusa is a Oral Surgeon which was nice to know. The offices are clean, the staff is very cordial and friendly. The waiting area has plenty of english magazines and a big flat screen tv.

I go to the center on Ratchadapisek Road, they have an office in Siam Square and Lad Prao

I hated going to my dentist here in the US, hassle getting an appointment, have to keep coming back. all the bs. I had not been to one in years. I took my mother for some work recently and nothing has changed. And what she had to pay, I was shocked. I have dental insurance here in the US and I read the coverage, which is pretty good. I still will not go

At BIDC, I can get a cleaning and have a filling done in an hour, 90 minutes. Not 2 or 3 visits. And I think it helps having a female dentist.

I had heard that the Bumrungrad's Hospital has a good staff. Most dentists in Bangkok are trained overseas. I had heard.

Good luck

Yes google the "dental hospital" It has English speaking dentists in every specialty. Their equipment is better than the US. You check in for an exam on the ground floor and you can work your way up to every dental specialty under the sun in one building. In one morning I had an exam, a cavity filled and deep cleaning done . They take all major credit cards , are all English speaking and nice as can be.
