The Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek so it needs to be translated into English.
The King James Version is a version of a translation and produced in a short time for King James. It has many errors and is not very scholarly.
There are many translations available today that are better than King James' version. Some are "paraphrased". The translators take the original language and paraphrase it for us. While there is a danger that the translators may mix their own thoughts in the translation, and this has happened, the text is usually easier to read and uses thought -provoking illustrations.
I use about 5 translations, but prefer The New World translation by Jehovah's Witnesses because it is absolutely literal. It is word-for-word from the original texts.

I personally read the Kjv, but use the Niv and nasb and several others to study from. I look at them all and see what each different group of translator came up with. I still stand by the statement that It dosn't matter what translation you read, so long as you do it with prayer and an open heart to God. Forget al preconcieved notions of religions and let God be your guide in his Word.

Hahaha! This is a very good one for the atheists.
I use the KJV (or AV) and the Geneva Bible
KJV, and there is hope for salvation..... while others....
Meditate deeply on 1 Pet 1:25.
God promised to preserved His Word (to preserve means only one text available). When two texts are available, one must be the faithful and the other the harlot text.
It is due to our unbelief that today we accept two contrasting texts available; The Textus Receptus (TR) and the Alexandrian Text (AT). However the differences are as distinct as heaven and hell. If God preserved His Word, can there be two contrasting texts? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Alas, few of us have the spiritual capacity to see, but for the carnal minded, given this following carnal example they may see straight away.
Can a man claim to have preserved his marriage, if he has a wife and a harlot? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Yet in the next breath, these same people would say that God preserved His Word, having two contrasting texts; the TR and the AT. In the deep dark labyrinth of the deceitful and desperately wicked heart we would not want to acknowledge our unbelief of God's goodness and faithfulness to His promise to preseve His Word, ie in one faithful text, the TR!
A good tree produces good fruit; hence from the faithful source TR, faithful fruits (ie the translations) are produced eg Tyndale, Geneva and the King James (or Authorised Version).
As 1 Pet 1:25 said, from the faithful preserved Word of God, the Gospel is preached, thus is the Gospel preached from the harlot text and its harlot fruit, the corrupt translations?
Deu 23:2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
A bastard, begotten from a harlot - shall he receive earthly inheritance?
Those begotten from the 'gospel' from the harlot text (eg ASV, RSV, ASV, NASV, NIV, ....................) - shall he/she enter the congregation of the LORD to receive eternal inheritance?
Now it is interesting that the last warning in the Bible is NOT ABOUT REPENTANCE BUT:
Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Try finding out in the NIV,
1) Acts 8:37
2) try finishing the Lord's Prayer in Matt 6:13
Thus do you HONESTLY think the names of the NIV translators are in the book of life?? The answer is obvious to those with a modicum of evangelical integrity! What more, if the translators of the NIV are homosexuals??? May God have mercy to keep those who truly love Him in spirit and in truth.
Thus the AT is the harlot text. When England used the KJV, it was the only empire that can boast that the sun never sets in its empire. The blessing of Switzerland today was due to the fact the Reformers used the Geneva Bible. The blessing of the USA today, was due to the fact that that the Pilgrim fathers in the Mayflower brought over and used the Geneva Bible and later the King James Bible.
Since 1881, the propagation of the harlot text, great Britain is no longer great, United Kingdom is no longer united.....as a result of the judgments of God for their use of the corrupt Westcott and Hort text.
If one is experimentally sensitive to the presence of the blessed Holy Spirit, one may have a FELT sense of His blessed presence if one uses Bibles from the faithful texts. However the converse is true, and another spirit(s) presence in the use of bibles translated from the corrupted AT text.
Did you know that, the Codex Sinaiticus, was deemed so thoroughly worthless that even the monks who possessed saw that it was fit to be used as 'fire starters'; until someone came with $£$£$£$? My deprave heart will tell me to do exactly what the monks did, if someone offered $£$£$£$ for a pile of papers sitting by the fireplace fit to be used as fire starter!!!!
Ignore the wicked atheists. If for example, I do not believe in the existence of Ferarri, how then shall I believe in the structure, the parts and the intricate function in a Ferrari?? But I like to see how the atheists contradict themselves!! This is a good one!
