Went out on the porch for maybe 2 min. and in the=is time my 2 yr old got to the vaseline and it is in my berber carpet and all over her. Her hair, and clothes.......I will bathe her now, BUT my carpet! Will it leave a huge greasy stain? What can I do?

What is the right age to buy a kid a cell phone. I know it has to do with how responsible they are, but I am just curious. They are both 8 year old boys. They may need one because they have soccer practice 3 times a week, school, and at a friend's house or something. I wouldn't buy them something like a Sidekick, but just a cheap, simple phone that they could use to call their mom or me in case of emergency. Any answers would be appreciated.

Even though I own six cats (all strays I've gathered over the years) I know very little about them. I'm a dog person. They rarely if ever get sick. All are up to date on their shots, spay/neutered and indoor cats. Now my question. I lost a cat about five years ago to a liver tumor. His symptoms were, losing hair, not eating as much and drinking a lot of water. Now I have another cat showing the same signs but, five years later. He has an appointment at the vets tomorrow. I thought at first he was just blowing coat for the winter but, now he is showing bald spots only in the back of his body. He is drinking a lot of water and losing weight. I have been away for about a week and my husband and kids have been caring for the animals. When I saw him I got really upset. Are liver tumors common in cats?

Ok, I work at an after-school program for an Asian American community and quite frank I'm not used to their customs and habits. These kids are literally petrified about not finishing their homework on time and say that they will get "beaten" if they don't. Another kid told me that if she doesn't get higher than a 95 on every test that she gets beat by her parents. I don't know if I should report this because to me it is abuse but I was told not to because the supervisor said that "that's the Asian way to handle school" What bull.

One kid even got in trouble because he did more work than what was told. He said that his mother made him do more work than what was assigned because she felt that he needed to learn more and the teacher was wondering why he went ahead and did everything wrong. The supervisor mentioned that the Asians are told to do more work than expected and never stop.

Does anyone have any experience with Asian tradition here? What should I do about this?

And trying to say they are sexual fantasies about you please get a grip you wish they were, but to use a poor girls death to squeeze a bit of sympathy is very very low!!

As I have mentioned in a previous post I have been reading an Ernest Tubb biography "Ernest Tubb--The Texas Troubadour" written by Ronnie Pugh. It is a great book with a lot of information about this great legend. My question is aside from the classics and his many great songs what do you think made for his longivity in the business? He was in the country music business for nearly 50 years.
