I have been accused of coming on too strong on occasion when dating a girl. I have met and been out with this girl once but spoken and texted a bit. Would you say that a small bunch of flowers was too much for a 2nd date? (age below 25)

Thanks

No, the girl probably wasn't used to such flattery. It's definitely a plus, though.

I agree with what the others have said. Whilst a bunch of flowers are a lovely gesture (which may i add, some lads wouldn't even dream of doing such a nice thing) it may be a bit soon for the second date i suppose. It depends on your approach aswell though and how you gave the flowers in the first place. You can still maintain more lovely gestures but tone down how you give them too her... not too much so it seems like your not bothered..but just to the right level (which you'll have to find out yourself). I'm sure she appreciated them but maybe has trouble accepting these kind of things(dont ask why some women are funny about this kind of thing). But then again maybe she is just a simple girl and just wants to find somebody she can connect with and doesnt want to be treated like a princess. You need to use the information i have given you to evaluate the situation.

You seem like a lovely man.

Good luck! xx

Not at all. I think that's thoughtful and sweet. Coming on too strong would include making promises for the future, saying I love you too soon, or giving jewelry. Flowers are nice.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of jerk men out there who are not thinking like you. Women are not in the habit of being treated so nicely on dates. We're expecting to be disappointed most of the time.

A small bunch of flowers seems like a nice gesture to me. Maybe it is a little too soon, but it's totally up to you. If you approach the occasion in the right manner it should be perfect.

You should probably not get her flowers/chocolates til later on. If this date goes well, and she agrees to see you again, then take the flowers next time, but 2nd date is too soon, good luck :)

This is coming from a girl, so pay attention. If the guy that I have a huge crush on right now sent me flowers, I would absolutely love it. It shows that you care and that you're trying your best to please her. My idea of 'coming on too strong' would be trying to get her in bed with you. But otherwise, flowers are fine.

Flowers given by a guy is so common. A flower dies after a few days unless you gave a pot of flowers but its is not. So I advise you to think of a new one, something creative, something your date's friend haven't... She will rather like it to be who she is. Ask her what she wants, like colors etc...as your guide to making the gift for her. Make it yourself and it will be much better.

Remember that a gift is rather remembered than that of your way-to-trash bunch of flowers.^_^

Well, no..but some girls may think you want somethng, or you're trying too hard when you bring flowers. Save the flowers for her birthday or an anniversary.

If the first date was super hot then do the flowers. If it was just a regular ho hum date then forget the flowers.

I didn't think it was inappropriate for a 1st date...maybe I'm old fashioned. I think it would be sweet to get flowers before the date. Gee...didn't think guys still did that.

Jewelry would be too much. Flowers is just adorable. Do it!
But don't get like two dozen roses or something elaborate like that. Something small and sweet.
