dont worry! if you are a good enough actress, people will want you bad! and EmeraldIsle needs to learn that people have dreams and its ok to NOT step on them. im 12 and i want to be an acteress too. just because chances are small, it dosnt rule anyone out. someone has to get the part, why not us?

Oh for heaven's sake, EVERY kid on this site wants to be a famous actor or actress! The chances of any of them making it are so small they are almost non-existent. And you are worried about all things, your nose. Dear, that's the LEAST of your worries. Most people NEVER achieve fame (no matter WHAT size their nose). Acting (acting for acting sake NOT to be some "famous" person) takes study of craft, being in all the local and school plays you can, and more perserverance than I suspect you have at this point. Most actor wannabes are waiting tables and will be for the rest of their lives. You are 13 and worried about your nose. This is not something that someone who absolutely loves acting would be concerned about. You also need connections int he business, and agent (very difficlt to get), and so much more. You are 13. Study hard, try out for some school plays and community theater, go on to college, major in drama, and see where you are at that point. And get over your nose - and yourself! Oh yes, and today, you DO indeed have to be quite attractive to make it in Hollywood, if that's your aim. TO those who say otherwise, well, they have no clue. THey are your little peers and as in the dark as are you. People like Striesand came along quite some time ago BEFORE physical appearance was so important. And I guarantee, she has had a lot of cosmetic work done in the last 20 years.

OK. so you are not going to be even a bit player in film. Not because of your nose, but because you have all the wrong attitudes. And being in one play does not mean you are any good at acting. It takes years of experience, training and knowhow, of sacrifice and hardship to become the most insignificant of actors. You do not sound ready to face what it entails.

I don't think it is an issue at all!! If you want something bad enough, you shouldn't let anything stop you. Everyone critiques their own body to a fault. I'm sure you look completely fine. Even if you don't, not everyone in Hollywood is gorgeous!! The important thing is you have to follow your heart's desires, never let anything stop you from shooting for your dream! :)
All the best!

Think Barbra Streisand. She made it as an actress and a singer. If it wasn't for her nose, who would recognized her.
