The only way to get your problem looked at is by applying for unemployment. This will be okay if you dont have a job and seeking employment. If you left the company on your own, nomally you will not be able to collect unemployment, but I recommend you still try. By going through with this process you will at least have someone to hear your story and have your story documented in the state you your applying for unemployment. No employer should get away with treating you unfairly so again this is a way to get your story out. I had a similar situation happen to me, where a editing company in Boca really needed someone to come in and organize the files. I was hired to do a job but just organized the firm and refused to take his rude behavior of, yelling, swearing and just not treating me or others with respect. I gave him a piece of my mind and left. I did not have a job at the time I left so I filed for unemployment. The lady at the unemployment office was very nice, took all of my info and called him (this loss of a soul boss). The unemployment lady ended up hanging up on this prior boss because she refused to hear his swearing mouth. This boss yelled and said he fired me, when he didnt, and I said well that was great. Now I can collect unemployment? The BBB actually called better business bureau or the Dunn & Bradstreet, are firms businesses can register with. These firms have a section on there site, where you can make a complaint of individual companies. Also there is a site where you can go to add a complaint about a company called rip off. If I am not answering your question correctly and you just want something to talk about when you are on an interview with a new or potential employer, you really never should say anything bad about the prior boss. You just clearly say there was no room for growth within the company so you decided to seek other avenues in your profession. Hope this helps.
