I have never been able to find a precise answer to this, in angstroms on the visible solar spectrum....except that hydrogen radiates at many different frequencies across the board, whereas magnesium and sodium appear to emit at green and yellow frequencies.
In comparing the colors of gems, for instance, the elements that each are composed of don't seem to tally with what I'd expect from the color frequency they reflect.

I work at a job were I was given FMLA. My understanding is that this was to be 12 weeks of time that I am able to be off and not loose my job. I did not need a set 12 weeks. My husband has cancer. I missed days covered under FMLA. The HR department took off 10 hours of FMLA time each day I missed since my shifts are 10 hours. The 12 "weeks" eventually ran out in less than 8 weeks in actually business days. Does any one have any idea about the law?

I know that they're not poisonous. But does it hurt? Will your finger bleed if the snake gives you a powerful bite? I want to get a corn snake but my mom won't let me bcause she thinks they'll bite me to death. o_o

my 4 y/o will not go to bed at night. this is a new thing for him. it's been going on for maybe a month. i've tried taking things away, grounding, losing allowance, rewarding him for going to bed, and just about everything else i can think of. i don't know what else to do. i really need help. it's driving me crazy. and he's not getting enough sleep so he's cranky and mean. please help me, i appreciate any advice you have. i'm a "single" mom, my husband is working in india and we're in utah, with a 7 y/o 4 y/o and a 7 mo old. thanks for any advice.

I primarly use a knife for fresh produce and occasionally meat. So basic as can be...nothing fancy, therefore i'd hate to invest in a cutlery set. i'm doing a science fair in school, and my partner and i chose the effect of genes on skin color. I've heard recently that some vegetarians and vegans are upset with PETA because of the "horrible" things they do and the lies they tell us. Is this true? I've also heard that most vegetarians/vegans don't support PETA because of specific reason, though I don't know what those are. Can you please elaborate and give details? I'm so confused. I've always supported PETA, but now I"m reconsidering this. ??? Help, please!

I would like to know your honest opinion about my theory on how to prove that God exists. If God created everything from the earth to man and then created us in His image, how then can we not see creation itself. If our parents created us, their parents created them... so forth, then how is this in relation to ALL of the theories to how we got here. Whether by Darwins theory, to Organized Religions, Creation had to start somewhere. Our calendar started with Christ.. is this a fact? YES! 2007 AD (after death, BC= Before Christ) From as long as we know this calendar basis, who then did Christ try to prove He was from? Now if we can base our calendar and watch clocks off of this event of the death of Christ (which Darwin even lived by), then how can we not believe that His message was so important? Creation, proves that God exists, our timeline proves that we base our days off of Christ. My Faith shows Creation exists.

I don't include dying prematurely (e.g. Aaliyah), I just mean not living up to their early promise: Tori Amos, Richard Marx, Chesney Hawkes spring to mind.
I guess we have to exclude one-hit wonders and count only people who managed at least one album.
I'm tempted to include Dream, you can all slag me all you like...

just wanted to hear some opinions about that. mine is that first of all they earned their high payroll by their success. secondly, there are plenty of teams in sports with very high payrolls but they don't have success. examples (knicks, mets(have highs and lows), red sox, 80 something yrs without a championship, celtics(recently no success), nuggets (third highest payroll in nba and haven't been deep in the playoffs for a while). i just think that they're success comes with a successful system and style that has worked for years, not their high payroll.
