That does not necessarily happen in all cases. It did not happen to me. I was told the more active you are in say sports, and exercise the less likely you will experience bleeding the first time. I do not know if that is true or not.

Not necessarily. My first time I did not bleed at all, but with my now bf at first I did often. Some people bleed there first time go a while with out bleeding then all of sudden start bleeding. I use to work in an OB/GYN office 2 1/2 years.

A girl bleeds upon her first time with sex because there is a thin membrane at the opening of the vagina that can lightly tear or "break." Some girls don't seem to have one at all (it's so small it seems absent), and the shape of each girls' can vary, so some bleed/tear more than others. Additionally, some girls have already "broken" theirs due to sports or other activities or it has been stretched enough that it never has to break at all.

Since yours did not (mine hardly bled at all either, just some small drops on my underwear afterward), you had either broken yours formerly (perhaps even in former sex play) or didn't have one to begin with.

Don't worry about it--it's perfectly normal.

It doesn't have to, necessarily. There are lots of different kinds of hymens, and some cover more flesh and so will bleed more than others. It's also possible that you actually broke your hymen a long time ago by doing physical exercise!

If you're really concerned, however, go see a doctor or gynecologist.

well...neither did mine. i talked to my mom and she said that some girls just dont have one or it is very thin. also, strenuous activity and tampons can sorta stretch out a thinner hymen so it wouldn't bleed.
perfectly normal. some people just don't have cherries or thick ones. i never bled and neither did some of my friends.

not all of them do. sometimes your cherry pops before you have sex for the first time. mine popped when i put a tampon in for the first time. sometimes it does not pop even when you have sex the first time. it has either popped before or will later. your alright! good luck

It doesn't have to bleed especially if you used tampons before the big event.

I guess that depends on how hard the sex is. If you're a virgin and your first time is rough.. I imagine you would bleed.

Mine didn't at all, but I did dance and used tampons for a long time beforehand.
