I grew up on Long Island.. which basically sits in the shadow of New York City. I've always had access to the city.. where I ended up moving after college. I've lived in NYC for four months now and I admit, I love the stimulation, the ability to do anything at any hour, and all the people to meet here.

.... but.. past the late nights at the bars (which aren't always my thing), the museums, the broadway shows... I always wish I was out doing something else. Whether downhill skiing, horseback riding, driving down a secluded wooded road with the windows wide open.. etc. I can't tell if I'm in the wrong place, or whether everybody who lives in a major city has the desire for an open road and more space.

Part of my question to you city-goers. What keeps you in the city? I can't tell if the reasons I want to leave are because my heart's not here or if I need a vacation...(!)

Can anybody give me some input? Thanks!

I know I will be in the minority to in this, but whenever I see somebody come into my bar or out in public wearing a jersey, no matter what the team, I think they look like an idiot.

Its one thing to wear one to the game or if you are a kid, but does anyone else think jerseys are for the ice and look dumb on adults in plain clothes?
I have about 30 from playing but I wouldn't wear em anywhere but the ice and last I checked they do make plenty of sweatshirts and t-shirts to show your loyalty.
I kind of compare it to the guy who wears the t-shirt of the band that they are going to see........don't be that guy. lol

Just my 2 cents. Opinions?

Okay so after picking up a foster fom the vet, she peed in my car.
It was like lake placid!!!
I took her home and took my car to the car wash and shampooed the seat several times. I even went and bought a new air freshener.
The next day it was very hot outside and the heat brought the smell out.
Now its cooler, but the smell is still there!!!!
I dont know how to get rid of it, I have shampooed, drowned it with freebreeze, and added air freshener.
any ideas without getting new seats!? :)

WE live in PA and have some trees around us. My cat usually is an inside cat. However he got out the night of 10-21. It is 11:00am on 10-23 and he still isn't back. When he rarely gets out he is usually pawing at the glass doors in the morning. I am sick thinking he was attacked by a hawk or owl. We have both around here. I am so sad because it was my fault.

I'm going to an information session on a liquid diet program that is offered through a local hospital, and was wondering if anyone on here has done it or knows someone that has? And if so, how did it work for you? It's called Nutrimed, if that helps :) thanks!

most persons says it is safe, but there should be some optimumity regarding this because as we loose semens that are generated naturally inside us, so too much of loosing it can creat problems.so what is the safe limit per day/week/month upto which it wont generate any problems sexually & physically?? I am 25 and my fiance is 25, I have a house and my sister(22) lives in the basement but is never home until very late at night. My fiance lives in an apartment with her sister(23) and is home at 8pm every night. Our places are lease than 15 minutes away from each other. my boyfreind and i have been together for the better part of 4 years. the only thing that is bad in our relationship is his mother. she is a sweet person and all but when his dad left like 9 years ago, she has never gotten over it. i don't think ihave ever been over to her house with out her talking about her ex husband. ok but that's not the problem the problem is that she controls him, he is 23 and she still does all of his accounting, check book ect... it's fustrating b/c i know she is doing it as a conrtol issue. but he would believe me, i have been trying to find articals on the internet to help me show him that it;s not normal for her to treat him like she does, she is always sitting on his lap, staying up late to make him dinner ( he works 2nd) and the bottom line is its not healthy for eathier of them. please help. any advice won't be great i am feeling a little overwelmed.

In my dream I was in a flooded house and the lighting came through the house and hit my shoulder. I could feel it. I was being electricuted and my brother tried to stop the lighting but he failed. When the electricution stopped, I remember beggin god to let me live while I checked my own pulse. I lived I think, then I woke up. It was so intense and felt so real. What does a dream like that mean?
