Why do Catholics think everyone is picking on them, when we are just stating what the word of God says.

Catholics, why not just use the word of God? Who has such a stonghold on you you can't stand the Word of God?

Tell Your Members of Congress to
Make Their Earmark Requests Public!

As reported in newspapers like USA Today, CAGW is right now waging an aggressive campaign to determine which members of Congress are willing to pay more than lip service to transparency and accountability. By letter and by phone, we have called on each member of the House and Senate to disclose the earmark requests they submitted to their respective Appropriations Committees.
To date, only 66 Representatives and two Senators have complied with our request. That’s why we need you to check here and call your elected officials if they are listed and ask them to disclose their earmark requests.
The new leadership of the 110th Congress took control in January promising the “most honest, most open, most ethical Congress in history.” We plan to hold them to their word! While House and Senate rules do not require members of Congress to make their earmark requests available to the public, Americans deserve to know on which pet projects their elected representatives would lavish their hard-earned tax dollars.

Transparency is a vital first step toward eliminating the tens of billions of dollars spent on congressional earmarks annually and ending the “culture of corruption” that earmarking breeds.
Help us promote transparency and accountability by calling your elected officials today and asking them to release their earmark requests. And then tell us whether they responded YES or NO!

CAGW is publishing the responses of members of the House and Senate on our website, as well as the lists of earmark requests provided by members.
http://www.cagw.org/site/PageServer?pagename=getinv_Advocacy_EarmarkDisclosureCallAlert_IssuePage
So why waste your time over which side is spending more? Why not take the time to find out for yourselves and do something about it? I’ve placed my requests because I WANT to know. Will you?

We were best friends, we got married out of friendship more than lusty passionate love. We have a large family together, he has two children and I have four. He has a son who is autistic and we both work full time jobs. Our life is extremely full but also very good. Our kids are all great, while having a special needs son isn't easy, it's rewarding and we go above and beyond for him. It's the little stuff that's killing us, I am OCD with a clean house (and I mean display home clean) and he isn't (at all), I am supermom and he is more passive aggresive, etc. I find myself being short and crabby with him and uninterested in him romantically but I am not sure why? I find myself nit picking everything about him to the point where when I look at him I get almost angry and he isn't attrative to me anymore. When I try to discuss our differences (very gently) he becomes angry and then pouts for days and I mean POUTS (like a child), What does all this mean?

The mx705 came with my system but is still in the box and I could probably resell it for close to what I paid--it was $80 as part of the package deal at Circuit City.

The Acer has a 3-year warranty and would cost $139 at a local Staples store during a current promotion.

If you want some specs:
HP 17" CRT:
Dot Pitch / Pixel Pitch 0.25 mm
Max Resolution 1280 x 1024 / 60 Hz
Max Sync Rate (V x H) 160 Hz x 70 KHz
Video Bandwidth: 110 MHz
Controls / Adjustments: Degauss, Contrast, H/V size, Rotation, H/V moire, Trapezoid, Brightness, Pincushion, Pin balance, H/V position, Parallelogram, Color temperature
Video Output: None
Signal Input: VGA
1 year warranty

Acer 19" wide-screen
Resolution 1440 x 900
Contrast ratio 800:1
Brightness 300 cd/m2
Reponse time 5ms
Dimensions 21.1"W x 16.5"H x 7.6"D
3 year warranty

I'm leaning toward keeping the Acer and re-selling the still-in-box HP. Thanks for your suggestions.

It is about 1 year old next month, runs Windows Vista, has 80GB hard drive, 768MB RAM, Intel Celeron D processor. I use the disc defragmenting program about every two weeks and use disc cleanup every 3-4 days. I don't think there are any viruses on it.i had thought about putting in even more RAM and a second hard drive and possibly even a new processor.
Can u think of anything that would make it quicker?
thanx

It seems that pantyhose are becoming more and more popular for men... There's actually companies that sell them for men, and from what I see on the web, many many men like wearing them.
How many of you guys have worn them or have a 'hidden' desire to try them, but are afraid to because it's not 'manly'?
What if your wife asked you to try them on for her?

I'm married, and wear them often. I wear them under jeans and with shorts while jogging and cycling. My wife and I were away this past weekend, and I went jogging in the morning with running shorts, t-shirt, and Leggs Sheer Energy suntan pantyhose. Anyone who likes to jog outside i cooler weather is missing something if you don't try jogging in pantyhose. They make me feel like running 10 times longer than without!
Give it a try!

History: My stepson is 13, I have been married to his dad since he was 5. My stepson's mom is a piece of crap and is not really in his life. Because his mother is not around, my in-laws really cater to him to try and "fill the void" with giving him what he wants. What they have done is created a monster (but they don't see that) and now my husband and I are suffering for it.
Question: My husband's mother accosted me the other day because she does not like the fact that I discipline (come on now, he has 4 "F" grades and he wants to go out---not happening on my watch). My step son bad mouths not only me but his dad to my in-laws. Because she physically threatened me, I feel that there are consequences for your actions. She does not need to be involved in our parenting and the fact that she came at me like that, makes me feel like she does not deserve to be a part of our lives. Do I let my hubby deal with her or do I and what would you do?

This is the "Homework Help" section, not the "Homework Cheat" section. If all you're going to do is just give the answer, you might as well just offer to do it for them. When you answer a question, PLEASE explain the answer as well. Presumably, the questions are asked by people who actually want to learn. Giving them the answer without telling them where it comes from defeats that purpose quite handily.

And yes, I expect to be roundly ignored on this, but I had to try.

#5 Michigan loses, drops out of the top 25 completely. Wisconsin is #5, drops 14 spots; they lose to an unranked team. I don't know how many spots Oklahoma and Texas dropped, but I know it's more than 9. Same thing happened with Florida. USC is #10 in the AP and #7 in the Harrah's and coach’s poll. It seems to me that someone or some group placed USC in the top 10 hoping that more upsets occur and they can be back in the top 2 to play in the big game. USC struggled with Washington (Ohio State did not) and now they drop to an unranked Stanford team, yet they are still #10. Am I missing something, or is the favoritism that obvious?
