To "line up"
cl Left align button - all text begins at the left margin, but gives a jagged right margin. In my opinion, this looks better than justified.

cl the "justified" button - text is stretched out to meet the left and right margins - sometimes makes for large gaps between words, unless you hyphenate.

cl the "center" button - each line of text is centered on the page.

You can also align, or line up graphics. If you have several on a page, text boxes for example, you would select them all, then click Draw (on the Drawing toolbar), cl "align," and line them up on the left, right, whatever.

Just create a document called "practice" and have some fun with trial and error.

Align is a placement tag, something can be Aligned to the Right, Left, Center, Top, Bottom or it can be Justified.

It is an HTML tag,

It depends what programing language are you referring to?
Your question did not clarify that. However, if you are referring to HTML.
You can align an image or a text, right, left or center.
