Low lying to the moorland - do ye see the armies gathering? Do you hear the whisper that rumbles through the forest? Do ye ken the wee woodland creatures turn their faces to the West - for they feel the groundswell, and they hear the thousand voices joining in unison, sharing the oath. For this time we come not rattling sabres - this time we come in stealth, we will steal the coat of darkness and anonimity that our scurrilous foes live under - and we will creep in to their dens to oust them and bring them to the light so that all may see their shamed faces. But hush ........ the mists disappear as silently as they arrive ....... the time is not yet .... count the heatbeats til ye hear the call to arms and keep in your lungs the cry of the downtrodden and maljudged and the silenced -

Use the integral test to determine whether the series below converges or diverges. What values does the integral test yield?

1) Infinity(Sigma)n=0 (11)/((n^2)+49)
2) Infinity(Sigma)n=2 (1)/(n)(ln(n))^2
3) Infinity(Sigma)n=2 (3)/(4n-1)^2

Does the series converge or diverge?

For the year Im living in France teaching English. I actually have a masters in French but its been over a year since ive spoken it and my masters is in language teaching not so much strict speaking. I just want to know how not to stick out as an american...could you help me with how to casually say a few things...without sounding like a textbook.

How to ask for directions, what to say when you approach someone, etc. How to let them know you really apprectiate it without just saying merci.

How to ask for a pack of cigarettes, coffee, and a carte orange at a tabac.

How to stop someone and ask for help.

How to firmly tell someone to leave you alone if they try to bother you...even how to insult them a bit.

How to tell someone you dont want what theyve shown you in a store...thanks but no thanks...

What to say when you call someone about an apartment you saw in the paper.

Je vous remercie mille fois!

I have a 2001 Yamaha XLT1200, and there is water in the fuel system. Spark plugs were just replaced, battery is charged. When you remove a spark plug, you can see the water shooting up when you try to start the engine. It has a 2-cycle engine, and the gas tank is completely full (18 gallons!) Not sure on what percentage is water and what is fuel though. Last time I filled it I put in about 12 gallons, before I realized what was wrong with it. I will siphon the gas out of the tank, but not sure what else I may need to do. Any help would be much appreciated!

According to U.S. Representative Marilyn Musgrave, our nation’s legislators are now prohibited from using references to God in certificates of authenticity accompanying flags flown over the Capitol and bought by constituents. Such references include: "under God" in the pledge, "God bless you," or "in the year of our Lord, 2007." Never before has this official prohibition been leveled.

Architect of the Capitol Steven Ayers said he has removed the words because reference to God and the Lord may offend some Americans. He now prohibits them from being placed on official documents such as flag certificates.

Musgrave was astonished when she flew a flag over the U.S. Capitol building as a tribute to a senior citizen, and the accompanying certificate she received was edited with all religious references removed.Â

The congresswoman was more astounded when, upon further investigation, she discovered the certificate was censored by order of The Architect of the Capitol, an unelected very low-level official who manages the flag office.

Responding to a request for a flag flown over the United States Capitol in honor of a World War II veteran's 81st birthday, the congresswoman ordered the flag and a certificate to state: "This flag was flown for Mr. John Doe on the occasion of his 81st birthday, the eleventh day of July, in the year of our Lord, 2007. Thank you, Grandpa, for showing me what it is to be a true patriot -- to love God, family, and country. We love you!"

When the flag and certificate came back from the flag office, each reference to the Lord and God were removed. A group of lawmakers confronted architect Stephen Ayers seeking to find where he had the authority to restrict their freedom of speech and religious expression. Ayers refused to give the lawmakers a clear justification of his authority to delete the religious references. For more information: Capitol flag policy assailed (Washington Times).

...while sitting at stop lights it occassionally stops running. I still get the electrical. Then it will start right back up. It has a 2 yr old battery. It has a newer starter. I just had a new fuel pump put in 2 weeks ago! And no codes come up on the computer. I have had it to 4 different mechanics over the past year. None of them could duplicate the problem. Any help is VERY welcome. It is my only vehicle and I am a poor college student.

With the CIA seen critical in some parts of the world for abducting suspected terrorists and transferring them to friendly allies for further questioning, the thought came to mind, why do we not outsource part of our prison system. I have seen cost numbers per prison inmate per year here in the US of $100,000.

I am sure that Turkey, a good ally in our war in Iraq could take care of our problem at a fraction of that cost. A possible win/ win. The Republic of Georgia (another good ally, who have just more than doubled their troop commitment in Iraq) or Russia with its low cost prisons in Siberia could also be candidates.

The cost savings for the US taxpayer, perhaps as much as 90%. Not to mention the element of deterrence when repeat offenders and hardened criminals face "outsourcing".

I assume, not really a new proposal, still your thoughts?
