There is no credible research to support the statement that left-handers live a shorter life.

There are actually plenty of studies that say its true. Particularly of women. Google for
"shorter life span" "left handed"
But the reasons havent been decided. Some ideas are:
A) overworking the "wrong" side of the heart
B) over training of lefties to be righties affecting the numbers
C) increased accidents caused by the world being made for right-handed people
D) some extra stress from being the minority

I'm not sure about that but I have a great saying for lefty's.
"If the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, and the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, then all left handers must be in their right mind.

Simply because that most of the things that we use are often made for right handed people. eg cars.
It simply puts you higher risk as the world is not designed according to how your body functions.
