Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.
The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.
This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.
Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is
becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).
As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).
When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.
As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':
Humans did not cause it.
Humans cannot stop it.

Greetings. don't be misled by popular ignorance of global physics. it is simply a rebalancing of the globe to remove the unbalanced weights of the ice at the poles. in this case at the south pole. it is like a gyroscope spinning that has a weight offcenter on one end. it will simply flip on its side and move the out of balance weight to the side or equator. our planet does that every so often, is doing it now. it most certainly is not a bad thing. without it our planet would not be able to support humans because of our reproduction rates. we increase in number at a fairly constant rate of 100% every 50 years. so the more people the faster the numbers add up. at present the poles are moving from where they used to be in the Canadian arctic here in North America, they, the poles, will move roughly a little less then 90 degrees to the new balance point. it is happening slowly this time, so plenty of time to move as the climate changes. Last time it moved very rapidly, which is where the quick frozen mammoths in the arctic came from, with food still in their mouths and in their stomachs when they were frozen solid about 10,000 years ago. frozen so quickly and soundly that one can still eat the meat today and it is offered in the high priced gourmet restaurants in cities like New York. May not be pleasant, but is certainly necessary for our survival. sort of a pruning you might say. but most certainly not caused by our breathing and giving off carbon dioxide as the uninformed are led to believe by the book and movie made by Gore. that is simply a way to get people to remain ignorant of what is happening. don't want to cause a panic, do we? Oh and if you are interested in what is happening the theory that covers it is called the HAB theory. you can find it on the internet. might be worth your while to read what it says.

It's getting bad. I can only speak from what been happening during my 61 years on this planet. More crazy weather such as lightening storms. More hurricanes in Hawaii. More earthquakes in Hawaii causing lost of electricity. More flooding of streets. More rock and mud slides.

Some small changes are good. If the planet cannot adjust fast enough then it's bad. The earth is like a sick person, it needs time to heal itself.

Global warming is good for life. Look at all of the new species discovered as a good example.

Throughout history, colder climate has always been tougher for the survival of man and other species, both plant and animal.

global warming is most fatal of todays concerns,
this can be caused by some man-slaughtering gases such as carbon-di oxide, cfc etc.
the main disadvantage is that it is waterifying all the ice lands in the pole regions gradualy. the day is not far that all our cities & towns will be under water.
this also nowadays a big concern 4 the scientists also

You should read about it and get yourself informed; try for a book "The unpleasant truth", which senator Al Gore had written...
