You have to have the procedure approved, go to your dentist he will do an exam and then submit it to UCC, if its just for cosmetic reasons they wont do it, if it is for health reasons like your teeeth are rotting or are very bad then they will approve it. UCC is very picky and they only way you will get a true answer is by going and getting an exam. and depending on your rank is the percentage that you pay

It will depend on the reason for having the work done. If it is part of a procedure for restoring appearance after other work or as the result of an injury or illness, they will cover a percentage. The percentage is based on rank, but would most likely be 50% of the cost. Tricare dental is not like the medical and the cost share is pretty high. Family members can no longer use military dental facilites unless you are stationed overseas..they now serve military members only...so you will have to use a civilian dentist and would have to pay your share.

Tricare dental covers very little of anything. I think crowns was 20-30% last time I checked. No cosmetic procedures are covered.

It all depends on your particular plan. There are many different TriCare plans and what someone else's covers yours may or may not. The only way to find out for sure would be to log into your account on the TriCare website or to call them and ask.

they only pay a small percentage of it. it depends on how serious it is and what the cost of bill is and then tricare give you an idea on how much you would have to co-pay
