I'm a former Y!A religion and spirituality addict, and returning here after months of going without you people, I have noticed something odd:

Why exactly are atheists here?

There are a good few here that honestly want to learn from the faithful, but I see that most of atheists, I formerly among them, are here to do nothing but flail their arms about saying "lololol you're wrong!!!1!1oneone" ...

However, I see plenty of religious people doing the same with each other...

Anyhow...
I admit it. I used to do that. Flailing my arms about. Shouting inanely, although I would like to hope that I have become more mature.
So I ask you my fellow atheists, what exactly are you here on this board for?


On a side note, not a troll, you can check my history, I am an Atheist whom used to be the kind of person who reminded you of prepubescent children high on sugar.

Again, I'm still an Atheist, not a troll.

I'm a college student now. Unfortunately, i can no longer afford it. I am not eligible for financial aid, pell grants, etc. I've taken out all the loans I qualify for (without a cosigner - don't have one). I look for scholarships online all the time, seems like they take me in circles. I really don't wanna join the army and dropping out is not one of my favorable options. I have a part time job, but its hard to live, eat, pay rent, and pay for tuition and books. I just want some advice. Maybe the best advice is just to drop out. Can anyone help me?

If the bible says do not judge. Then y do some Christians think they have the right to say that all gay people r going to hell and they r wrong. For my birthday I got a ton of great dvds that I've wanted forever... sadly, they are region 2 dvds. (There was no way they could be found in Region 1, we looked EVERYWHERE.) Unfortunately my dvd player doesn't have any region free hacks. Everyone has been telling me how easy it is to just buy some cheap dvd player and turn it region free. Well, I can't find any!!
Does anyone know where I can find a reasonably cheap (under $70) dvd player that has region free hacks available?

P.S. If someone can show me a link to where I can buy one online that would be great, but I don't mind trekking to get it. (I live in Ottawa, so it has to be a Canadian store if it's not available online.)

I go to school during the weekdays. I stay home all day during the weekends w/o doing anything, but stick to my laptop. I barely spent time with my family or younger sibling going out because they are at work or my sibling is either on the computer all day. I work during school days everyday. I used to do volunteer work during the weekends, but not now because I wanted something different maybe bored of repeating job that I was given. The only time I stick close to my family is when I'm on the dinner table. I don't know what to spend my time on the weekends because I am so free. I don't have much friends. Am I doing something wrong here?

I have just assembled a buffet with draws and glass doors..I have taken care in putting it together..However the draws and glass doors do not alighn properly.!
