they way i believe and i am a christian and have gay friends; is that they did not make this choice to be gay. It is how they are and it is who they are. that is not a choice you would want to make and keep for very long with the riducule and prejudice that goes along with it. however, god makes everthing perfect and satan is the one that makes things hard and bad. not god, however god allows it to happen. he only allows it to happen to those whom he knows is strong enough to handle it. this may seem harsh but read the book of job and you will see what i am saying. god loves all of his children whether they are gay or straight. and thou shalt not judge, so there for these people do not know whether gay people or any people for that matter are going to hell, only god knows. hope that this helps

Well, I try so hard not to judge either but, when I speak on that subject, I always let the person know that if they ask God to forgive them for that sin He will do that. If they die in that sin then, just as the Bible say, that person will go to hell because being gay is a sin in the eyes of God. We have to respect God's Word over anything and everything. That is what being a Christian is.

Ok, let me try to answer your questions one at a time. First off, you are correct -- no one, incl. Christians, has the right to say someone will go to hell. Only God can judge someone else, and see into their heart. Some of us do tend to get overly passionate about our faith.
However, in the Bible, God clearly states that homosexuality is a sin.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 -- 9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Romans 1:24-27 -- 24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
There really is no other way to interpret that. With that said, everyone certainly has the right to live their life how they choose. As a Christian I am here in R&S to answer people's questions if I can, about God and/or the Bible, and that's what the Bible says. But we can't nor should we force anyone to believe in God. Faith in God and following Him can only be voluntary.
Re. your question about why "God made them that way". We don't believe that He did, since he doesn't condone homosexuality. But to those who believe they were made that way, my response is that we are tempted to sin all the time. But we need to have the strength to resist the temptation. The bible states that God will always provide an escape from the temptation (1 Cor. 10:13), if we truly want to follow Him and avoid sin.
FYI, I didn't think your question was rude or mean at all. It was very politely written, and I appreciate that, and that you don't generalize (all) Christians. Hope my response was as polite. Have a good day.

If you are reading John 8 and Matt. 7 Jesus isnt saying dont say or believe homosexuality or premarital sex wrong that is a twisting of scripture. Jesus says judge lest ye be judged meaning do not judge *hypocritically* The woman was caught in adultry and the penalty was death according to the law of moses. But those who wanted to condemn her where guilty of the same thing. Same as in John 8 Jesus says dont complain about the splinter(symbol of sin) in your brothers eye when all along you have a log in your own eye. Take out the log in your own eye first so you will see clearly to help your brother. Meaining dont judge hypocritically. If you are concerned with others sin you are not in a position to speak out because you are being a hypocrite. So a christian who is involved in homosexuality or premarital sex or any other sin should not judge and fix his own life. The bible is clear homoxuality is a sin and that is a judgement. **However this is your delima with the "judging" thing. You say not to judge but arent you making a judgement regarding homosexuality yourself? Pro homosexuality is a "judgment" in itself. So the christian judges one way you judge another.

Anytime I have ever tried to question why God does one thing and not another I usually get a reminder from Him that it is not MY right to question Him.
I take a Leap of Faith everyday that God will take care of me and my family.
I don't have problems with others who are not like myself. I think too many people are trying to make themselves feel better and "look" better by judging others.
But the Bible does say, "Judge not, lest ye be judged".
Judging is not my job. That is God's job. I don't want His job. I have a hard enough time doing my own job that I don't want His.

Unfortunately, some people get caught up in the legalisms and forget to include the love. True, The Bible does speak out against homosexuality. It also speaks against divorce, lying, greediness, etc, etc ... the point is that none of us are perfect, and we should all be thankful that we can be forgiven.
However ... when you tell CERTAIN people that they are saved and their sins are forgotten, they think this gives them the right to look down on others and throw stones.

Those that are not born again are the ones going to hell, no matter what sin they commit. You do not have to answer to Christians for anything you do, but we will all answer to God sooner or later. Real Christians love everyone regardless of their decisions in life, but we also have to tell others that they need to be born-again to enter heaven. Thank you.

Where does it say, "do not judge?" It just talks about the principle that if you judge others they will in turn judge you. That's what Jesus experienced in response to his critique of the self-righteous Jews.
Here's what the Bible ACTUALLY does say, "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1Cor 6:9,10
"God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Rom 1:24-28
Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."
Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage
So telling people this is simply informing them of their status. Afterall it's not a matter of opinion. It's what the Bible ACTUALLY SAYS.

Yes some Christians pass judgment on others ( not just "gay" people) i pray due to lack of understanding.
let me define "Judgment": to render a final edict/decision/outcome/value as to a person, thing or matter.
this is where people stray into error condemning one another because they have determined the final outcome.
the Bible tells us clearly not to Judge our brother, but it also clearly tells us to Judge the fruit of his life.
this is where people become hurt and angry because they do not have a clear understanding of Conviction Vs. Condemnation.
As i have defined above "condemnation" is based on "judgment". which says you are what you are, you will never change, can never change, don't want to change, and not worth loving, respecting or caring for in any way.
Conviction on the other hand says; your in a bad state, made some mistakes, are in sin. but conviction tells you that you can change/correct/improve your circumstances, your state, yourself. conviction also says you are worth my time, to respect, love & help in any way i can.
in short Condemnation says your done, game over!
Conviction says; it aint over till its over, you can do it!
many people misunderstand & abuse the scripture : judge not... to justify or shut up conviction. because they just want to do as they want to due. resenting any morality which tells them they could or are in the wrong.
then also many abuse the judge the a tree by its fruit...... instead passing judgment.........forgeting that Christians come from the same " world" ..... this is rooted in pride & self righteousness. clearly left overs from the world we come from.
We reap that which we sow.... sow judgement & it will be multiplied back to you. the Bible puts it this way sow the wind reap a tornado. that being said a Christian is required to judge a persons fruit as well as their own, doing so MUST always be done so in love & with respect.

Many religious secs believe that we go to Heaven or Hell dependent upon if we obey the Bible. They believe we go to Heaven dependent upon our works, good works or bad works. But the Bible is clear that it is dependent upon weather we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ....weather we have accepted Him as our PERSONAL savior.
