Is the fear of being called a sl*t or a wh*re the main reason why women (or especially teenage girls) are so generally unwilling to have sex? Because I have always been under the impression that women/girls are just naturally more hesitant towards sex, like they’re really not as interested in it or not as horny as men/boys. I’m aware that reasons for this might stem from fear of pregnancy or the fact that they want more of an emotional connection than a purely sexual one. But a lot of women seem to argue that the fear of being called a sl*t is the main thing holding them back from being as sexually willing as men. Is that true?

I hear libs say a democrat will win in 2008 because "most Americans want the troops home" but don't you think what it really is going to come down to is this:

Do you want the troops home defeated, or do you want the troops home in victory?

And it's not about whether there is a 'military' solution or not. If we leave and Iraq's government falls because we weren't there, it will be viewed as a military loss. On the other hand if we stay long enough for it to work out in Iraq, it will be viewed as a military victory.

When it comes to electing a president in 2008, I believe it will go down as whether most Americans want Retreat and Defeat, or whether most Americans want Perseverance and Victory.

okay im single and theres this guy i really really like. but he has a girlfriend who really doesnt desevre him. shes young and immature and she starts fights and talks behind everyones back. and hes the sweetest guy i know and never said anything bad about anyone and hes never beenin a fight and tries to avoid them. I get the feeling she doesnt really like him even though she blabs on myspace about how sweet he is. it seemslike shes using him to show off. just cuz hes 2 years older than her. i dont know why he likes her shes not good for him. me and him are a better match. i wish ican make him see that. what should i do??

It's kinda funny how the My Chemical Romance song "Teenagers" is, I think, the first song in the 21st century w/ that word in the title. If I remember, it was only back in the 1950's/early '60s that such songs had "teen" in the song name. I can only remember "Teen Angel" and "A Teenager in Love." (I had 2 play the latter song 4 my guitar lessons a few years ago.) It's a lil unusual how the My Chemical Romance song is an 180° from "A Teenager in Love." & back in the Nifty Fiftys, the old guys called rock 'n roll the devil's music. Or was this b4 Elvis became poplar?

Anyway, I'm asking if any of u no s'more songs that have the words "teen" or "teenager" in the name? & were there even any popular "teen" songs in between the '50s/'60s and 2007?

Do you like the name Savannah for a girl? I already have a daughter named that who is 2 years old, but I was just wondering if other people like it. Her full name is Savannah Jolie, and I sometimes nick name her Vanna. Savannah is Spanish and means open plain, but Vanna means Gods Gift, so I go by that, and Jolie means Pretty. Do you think I picked a good name for her?

I am doing a project on Harry Potter and I want to include a part with the references to theology that are in the books.
I can see the Christian references, and I know that there are references to the Torah in the books, but I don't have the personal knowledge to identify what those references are.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I will be very grateful.
In fact, I will be extremely grateful if anyone can point out ANY theological references, in any of the books.

Don't they believe in the power of prayer? Don't they think god wants their church to have the money? Couldn't they just buy one lottery ticket and all pray real hard that it wins? I caught a snake i my pool today an stuck it in the freezer for about 37 minutes while i did my homework. After i took it out of the freezer it was totally unresponsive to pokes and prods after 45-47 minuets i poked it with the eraser of my pencil and viola it moved. The information out there is confusing....I got tested religously, sometimes twice a year, with pap smears and blood tests for stds. I found out that on Tuesday I have Herpes 2 after breaking out in bumps early that morning. We are still waiting for results...Websites say that the initial breakout happends 2-14 days after contact. My man had no visible sores- NOTHING- But the websites say that you don't have to have sores- AHHHH- in addition, they say the virus can lay dormant??? But wouldn't my STD tests still come back positive??

I have a six year old daughter and I am wanting her to do some volunteering of some kind...Most likely with animals because she always wanting another animal. We have two cats and she does minimal work for them she will feed them but she keeps wanting more and more animals...I want her to understand that animals deserve respect and take allot of money and time to care for... I have been researching different places, zoo, rescue shelters the humane society but most of the places require you to be at least 16 yrs old...I planned on doing this with her too so there would be a legal gardian present and it would be fun to do it together...I was hoping we could help with kennel cleaning and other things similar..

...today, I organized several drawers that had adapters to this or wires to that, and connectors...also some weird looking things...most of it was my son's "stuff"...he knows so much about it (works at Radio Shack) and helps me sometimes...but, I'm still light years behind the times...I feel so fossilized (sniff)
