Yes if you are able to see or hear something then that is not the highest truth.
The kingdom of heaven is with in you.
After death no one knows what happens let us realise the truth while we are alive.
As far as I am concerned GOD cannot be understood by mind we have to go beyond mind that is superconsciousness.
So as long as we as an individual exists we cannot go beyond mind.
Because of all the thoughts the first thought is the ego I thought then all other thoughts follow.
So when we try to concentrate on a particular Holyname or symbol our mind will drop all other thoughts and merge in to the name or form.
But if we are seeing name or form that means we are still there.
So after further meditation we will merge in to that one thought and lose our individuality then the real truth starts happening in you or me.
Once we come to a point we cannot put effort then everything is left to GOD's Grace.
All this tunnel of light or canal opening if we close our eyes and concentrate between your eyebrows we can see them with out much effort.
So thats not the ultimate truth but they come and we have to go beyond them.
So thats the only way to know the truth of life and death or GOD.

God Bless you.

Personally, I would like to think it is the light of Heaven. I want to think that I will be reunited with my loved ones who have passed before me.

We have been led to believe that there will be someone there, waiting for us, at the end of the light, at the end of the tunnel, that we will know...with an outstretched hand...that we will take...and be welcomed into Heaven.

There are more and more television programs depicting this theory, and I, for one, am pleased that they are showing this version. [smile]

You asked and I have answered. Everyone has an opinion, and that's what makes our Country a great one...we can express an opinion.

Thank you for asking.

It's the synapses in your brain firing in response to the trauma of dying. A phenomenon that can be reproduced in controlled experiments.

Remember, we don't 'see' with our eyes (they are just the lenses) we see with our brain. And what happens in the brain can be interpreted as a 'vision'.

But I like your line about the birth canal...

what makes you think one see a light at the end of a tunnel when they die?

Some pople who have had N.D.E. have said that, but since no one who has died completely has mentiond such as light, there is no reason to think one exist.
