Yes. All he needs is your marriage Certificate (a certified original) and your son's birth certificate, as long as your son is your husband's dependent and resides with you guys. He doesn't need to adopt your son for him to be your husband's dependent. Tell your husband to talk to his Platoon Sergeant so he can go to Finance and update his DEERS enrollment.

Yes, he can be covered by DEERS but does not get issued a dependents ID card until he is 10 years old.

If he is under 18 or in college up to 23 or something. He needs to be listed as a dependant tax wise and such. Just call in the morning and it can be taken care of easily.
If perchance he is over 18 and not in college..... forget about it.

I would think so as long as he is under his roof and your husband has accepted responsibility for him. There are other considerations for Command sponsorship but I think the ID card should be able to be attained

as long as you have primary custody and he lives with you and the sponsor at least 51% of the time, yes. No adoption necessary.
