I have light-brown hair that is just below my shoulders. It has average thickness. Its wavy in medium humidity, & curly in high humidity. Years ago, it was long, frizzy, split, etc. That kind of long hair *does not * look good. So I cut it & learned to straighten it. I still need to find the right hair serum (for protection, shine and no-frizz) but...IF I find a serum that gives me shiny, mostly humidity-proof hair...should go long? I'll never have that unhealthy/trashy look again, but I'm tempted to try for long/*healthy* hair this time--down to my bra strap.

With the right product, should I grow my hair out? Maybe I shouldn't because I'm 5'3 & scrawny so long hair might hide me. But that's not what I want! Done correctly, long hair can make you *stand out*, especially with some shine serum & a couple layers. What do you think?

PS--Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide might be the right product. Haven't tried yet.

APS--My hair waves/curls when its short.

I was thinking that maybe Y!A should also have an area where the candidates can be *asked* questions - by the public. Not sure how this would work in terms of moderation (it would certainly need it) but I'd personally like to see the candidates answers questions that are of direct significance to us. Perhaps there could be a section wherein people can submit questions, you could vote on them and the top 10 questions voted in each week are posted to the question forum for answers.

Candidates (and their campaigns), of course, could opt not to answer any particular question but a general indifference to the format might be picked up on by the community here.

I'd think Y!A would go for it, too, since it would probably be a good selling point for the site to draw in people that otherwise would not join/create a profile.

I have two friends who both claim to be insecure about their bodys.

Girl 1: Is shy and never draws attention to herself. She never talks about sex as she's frightened someone will say "GROSS! I don't wanna think about YOU having sex, I think i'm gonna vomit." She never wears sexy clothes as she says she feels like a fraud, and that only hot girls can wear sexy clothes. She doesn't show off her body as she's frightened someone will say something.

Girl 2: Talks about sex ALL the time, wears clothes that show off her body, and constantly flirts with men. She purposely doesn't tell people she has a boyfriend so she gets more attention from guys.

I'D LIKE YOUR OPINION ON THIS:
I don't believe girl 2 is insecure. Some may argue that she feels she needs to dress sexy to get guys attention to feel good. BUT personally I think, that by assuming her dressing sexy will get a guys attention is actually quite arrogant.

What do you think?

I don't know...I was just observing communistic countries (present day and history) that are ran by dictatorship and noticed that communism and dictatorship is easier to obtain when minorities are rare. Are the people easier to control in countries like that?

so yesterday i went in for a client to fix a problem with a program they use for their buisness. as soon i was talking on the phone with tech support the manager told me something was wrong with their datbase. in a nut shell the datbase connection was damaged some how and so i go through6-9 hours of hell and it seems that the datbase no longer exist.
i showed one of the doctors their how to backup the datbase and i told him to do it on a weekly basis. well guess what he never did that. so we have no backup of the database what so ever. my boss told me about shadow copy but unfortunately i didn't know that it even exist. and we were using veritas backup exec and apparently there are some pre commands we can do. so for example before there is a backup every night supposedly we could type in a command in the pre backup location and it would make an image of the database and then back it up. so i'm gonna be blamed for all this. what could i have done to have a way out, a way to fix this.

when picking my kids up at school, it was in the back window of a mini van, that said "Pagen Mom and proud of it" I am not in no way putting pagens down, I dont understand them enough to make that judgement, nor the right to. but I am curiose, The first thing I thought of when I saw it was this mother forcing her children into doing some sort of rituals. Okay I'm in a situation where an older couple from my sunday meeting asked if they can come over and me and my husband just moved into our apartment so we aren't exactly ready for guests but she is very insistant, has some mental problems like bipolar and paranoia and has flipped out on people before for putting off having them over. So anyways, they are in their 60's and we are in our 20's. I am not good with entertaining guests, let alone ones in such a different age bracket and I have no idea what to have for lunch. They will be following us home after our sunday meeting so probably 1pm, and I won't have time to cook but they will definately be hungry and I need some ideas on what to set out for everyone to pick at but be somewhat filling - not junk food - not expensive, and easy to make. I want to prepare it the night before so it's ready for that day and I'm just stumped. Even ready prepared stuff is great too from the store. If you have any suggestions I'd REALLY appreciate it!

I have a personal loan of $12,200 which i'm paying around $490 a amonth (this is a secure loan which they are using my car as collertal). The reason why i'm paying that much is because of my bad FICO credit score (612). when it is starting up the windows will not load. it comes up with a screen that includes the following:

safe mode
safe mode networking
safe mod with command promp
last know good configuration
start windows normaly

i have tried loading with all of these options, but nothing works. this is the computer that we use in our business, it has ALL of our info on it, please help!!!
