It's fascinating. If SCHIPS doesn't pass the Democrats basically get to run on the "Republicans hate children" platform.

First, let me say that I've had enough of "us & you". We are ALL Americans. We basically want the same thing. A better USA. The problem arises when we don't agree on how it should be done. Honestly, neither political party can do it right. No political party can do it right. Key word here? "Political". Each politician, on BOTH sides have their own agenda. "We the people" means nothing anymore. They don't care, even if we'd like to believe they do. I'm a "republican" in party affliation only. I'm definitely not liberal or conservative. I want ALL freedoms back and a leadership that can interpret the Constitution in an objective way. NOT change it just because it doesn't fit right.

The SCHIP's bill needed to be vetoed. Too bad more "welfare" programs aren't vetoed and costs brought under control.
Just out of curiosity, we have been fighting the war on poverty for over 40 years at a cost of trillions and trillions of dollars, why are there still about the same percentage of poor in America as 40 years ago? (Note that would be an increase in the number of poor).

You're dillusional if you think any of the democratic front runners will bring the troops home but as a democrat they seem to be able to fool you every election anyway.

Well, I love nothing better than watching Republicans flail around in desperation from errors of their own making. Beats a good rock concert any day of the week.

Unfortunately there isn't anything funny about it.
Regardless of what happens in '08, we have still spent hundreds of billions, and wasted thousands of human lives, and accomplished nothing except for empowering even more terrorists.

Oh don't worry, Hillary still has over a year to continue showing her true plans for having a socialist country. She'll sink herself. besides, the republicans are in no worse shape than the Democrats were in the 80's.
