OK, SO I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYING A 2ND LAPTOP, ITS ONLY $349.99, BUT THE THING IS THAT IT ONLY HAS 512MB OF RAM. I WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH A RAM UPGRADE WOULD COST. PREFERABLY @ BEST BUY, BUT OTHER PLACES AND PRICES MAY ALSO BE INCLUDED. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Get the make and model of the laptop and go to crucial.com and it will tell you what RAM you need and how much it costs from them. Then you can print out the quote take it to best buy and they can tell you how much more RAM would be from them. Good Luck HTH.

Response to additional details:

Ok I checked out the laptop on the link you sent me. It takes DDR2 SODIMM memory up to 667 MHz with a max of 2 GB which means 2 sticks of 1 GB.

Best Buy is High but here is a link to some memory from them:

Newegg is a lot cheaper
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231116

The Newegg product is 2 sticks of 1GB RAM where as the Best buy is just 1 stick of 1GB RAM and it's only $5 more for twice the RAM and it is lifetime warranty product.

I can't tell you without knowing the model of the laptop. You can research yourself. Just go to http://www.crucial.com to find out what type of RAM the laptop will take. I suggest going to http://www.tigerdirect.com to buy the RAM, get Ultra if you can...it's some of the cheapest RAM and it has a Lifetime warranty and works great.
