The thing that happens to me is that somebody else comes up with exactly what I was going to say, and sometimes worded better so I don't bother answering. Actually, Tab, I think you have done that to me also LOL.

Yes, quite often when I go to do vote for answers, I see questions, which I know I could have given better answers to.
But what irks me the most is when I spend a lot of time, writing, and re-writing, and editing, what I think is a great response to a question, and when I finally post it, it turns out that someone has posted the same exact answer right before me, while I was taking my time to write my answer. That really hurts, you know. All that work? It's like you stay up all night, milking the cow, and in the morning she kicks the bucket.

No.....sadly I exert so much energy writing my articulated and relevant answers, all the while dreaming of "best answer" glory, that when I see the word "resolved" I crumbled in angst like a saltine cracker and I go into a sort of mild trance, highlighted by dribble from the right side of my mouth.

Too many to recall, but more often I write brilliant answers to questions that have been withdrawn but are still showing.

that doesn't happen nearly as often as me going back and finding a question I did answer resolved and me not being the best answerer... when my answer blew others out of the water!
not that I am that big headed about my answers... ;)

haha it wasnt basically the U.
