Media's Liberal Bias?

Bill Maher once said: "We have been the cowards lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That's cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, it's not cowardly." He lost his show on ABC because of it.

Rush Limbaugh had the following exchange on his show:

CALLER: "What's really funny is, they [Iraq war critics] never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media."
RUSH: "The phony soldiers."

If there's a liberal bias in the U.S. media why is Clear Channel's CEO defending Rush? Is it simply that his show is profitable while Maher's was less so?

How do you think Franchitti and Montoya will do as teammates next season?

I think this is great for the whole Ganassi Racing team. I like seeing another open-wheel great jump over to challenge themselves in what I think is the greatest form of racing there is, hands down. They both have a lot of learning to do, and I hope Montoya gets his head on straight by next season if he wants to be taken seriously in CUP. Ganassi needs some solid talent behind the wheel of his cars, and now hes got it. They just need some experience under their belts now.

what did nearsighted people do..... before glasses?

w/o my contacts/glasses I'm blind as a bat. Now I could see how I would get used to not seeing and develop my other senses but still- it would be quite a disability

Computer running slow help!!!?

My computer is running slow and the hard drive sounds noisy, the cpu is @100% Ive tried removing things that i dont use but it still runs slow. Also everytime i type , the words dont come on the screen for a few seconds. Everytime i try to shut the computer down it always says "this programme is not responding" What can i do , its driving me crazy Help!!!!

Does anybody on Current Events know the difference between?

a) asylum seekers
b) bogus asylum seekers
c) failed asylum seekers
d) those granted leave to remain/ indefinate leave to remain
d) immigrants
e) illiegal immigrants
f) economic migrants

there seems to be A LOT of confusion on YA about the above and what they are or are not entitled to from the UK welfare benefits system.
