I live in NY and thought that companies are not to charge your credit card until the merchandise purchased has shipped. We bought an item off the website in july and still havent received it. We were never notified that the item was on backorder and the credit card was indeed charged back when the order was placed. We have tracked down a member of the management staff who is asking for the credit card number in full to refund us our money. Shouldnt their database still have this since they charged it? I am worried about their credibiltity and would rather not give "some guy" my cc #. Thanks for any advise you can offer!

There was a recent poll of NHL GM's that asked if they could start their franchise with one player besides Sidney Crosby (says volumes in itself because the fact that they don't even include him), who would it be?
26 GM's responded.

I will get to the results after, what would YOUR choice be?

If you already saw results of the poll, please don't ruin it for others. Play nice.

I believe in God. I am open minded. I dont think being Gay means you go to hell. I am bisexual myself. I see nothing wrong in having fun in life. I dont believe everything in the bible, because logically, there is no way everything in the bible is true. I believe Evolution is a total possibility. I have no grudge agienst atheists. If you are rude to me, I see no reason to be kind to you. I find the quote "Love the sinner, but hate the sin" a stupid way to see things.
I come on here sometimes to see whats going on with everyone else.
And I am ashamed when I see some "Christians" on here. They are awful! They are nothing but rude and judgemental and no matter what you guys do, you never listen to one another.
I know thats the way it is, but "Christians" claim to be "kind" and BS, but I havent seen one nice one yet. Not a single open minded person on here.
People following the bible blindly, not asking questions. Not taking logic into account.
Is there no one that agrees?

No offense intended, but this was something that crossed my mind. Particularly on guys, I can't help but wonder, should overweight men even bother trying to be "stylish"? Or does that even further emphasize their overweight appearance? For example, should an overweight guy just stick to more plain clothes, haircuts, and beard styles, or is it just as "fashionable" to try and spice it up a bit?

Truth be told, I'm more referring to myself. I tend to put a lot of work into my appearance, but the past few days I've been wondering if I should try to keep it low=profile until I've lost the weight? I can't help but feel like it may look vaguely "pathetic" trying to emulate the kind of styles seem on in-shape guys.

Anyways, again, didn't mean to offend anyone with the title; I just wanted to grab some attention in order to get an answer for my own question. Thanks in advance :)

I know that my son should be using a sippy cup more...but my daycare lady asked me if we'd be banishing the bottle any time soon...and actually..I hadn't thought about it...he only gets them at daycare, he only nurses at home...

We've used sippy cups in the past but all he has ever managed to do with it is make a mess and bonk himself in the head...so we kinda don't really use them...

I know he has to "grow up" and progress and all that...but the bottle is closer to nursing than a sippy cup, and if it offers him comfort at daycare while mommy's at work...whats the harm in it?

My son is about to be one , by the way.

So in your experience...when do we banish the bottle and only allow the sippy cups?

Please no negative comments about how he should be weaned or he should have been on a sippy cup at two weeks or anything ridiculous like that...I'm just looking for some "ballpark" guidelines and some feedback about your experiences.

Thanks.

Crazy enough....I have plans to participate in a chicken wing on the grill contest. I have already asked for recipe's, but now I have to decide whether to seperate the wing into a drum stick and cut the pointy thing off or leave it whole for the contest.
I have never made wings on the grill, so this should be interesting. Should I seperate the wing or leave the whole thing in tact? Suggestions are helpful since I have never done this before.

This is what Bob Corker (R-TN) has to say:

As you know, S. 1335 is a bill to declare English as the official language of the Government of the United States . I feel that all American citizens should be fluent in English. I further believe that all immigrants to our country should become proficient in English before they are allowed to become American citizens. As it stands, S. 1335 is currently being reviewed in the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. Should this bill come before the full Senate, I will certainly take your concerns into consideration.

A deleted question:

"When observing the “working” woman, one can quickly notice that she spends her time gossiping and socializing, as is her feminine nature, rather than completing the task at hand. That is one of numerous reasons why I abhor the notion of women possessing masculine jobs--anything other than sweeping the floor is beyond the capabilities of a female.

As for the “homemaker” father, the paternal figure who has demoted himself to the ranks of a female, he who is neglecting his responsibility to care for and protect his family, an honor that only a man can properly hone. Such a pagan of a family will soon fall into poverty and become the laughing stock of the entire neighborhood.

Based on these Godly facts, which circumstance would you rather find yourself in?"

Obviously satire. But the fact such satire exists shows there is real thinking that goes along the lines of this, something ALSO shown by the barrage of breastbeating "answers" that this ? inspired. Thoughts?
