When my daughter was born, she had a genetic liver disease. She was basically born without a liver. This was 21 years ago when transplanting was very new. They said she'd live maybe a month. Took her home, gave her tube feedings, meds every 3 hours (around the clock) and she hung on until her 1st birthday. She was transplanted 16 days after her birthday. The docs said we might have her for 8 more years. I told them I'd take what I could get. She just turned 21 in July and has never had a problem with her liver. Viruses knock her off her feet for a little longer than usual, but other than that she's PERFECT and I'm LUCKY to have her. Very, very proud of her. She's our miracle.

We were at Wal-Mart, about 10pm..
We heard sirens so we walked out to look and saw 5 men wearing protective uniforms (not police uniforms, more protective) with hand-guns and big guns came bolting in the front entrance we were right next to and ran into the store somewhere we didn't see.
Found out that minutes before, a crazy guy walked in through the entrance on the opposite side of the store we were in, and he was carrying a rifle. He had been walking around the store for a few minutes when the police got there.

I guess so. I was home alone sleeping when I heard a knock at the door. There was this guy who was trying to sell me a vacuum but I told him we just actually bought one a week ago. He asked to see it so I showed him and when I went to go put it back he asked to use the bathroom. I told him yeah so he came inside and closed the door. I was standing at the end of the hall putting away the vacuum and I noticed once he came inside his whole demeanor changed. He wasn't smiling anymore and he just seemed very cold. I just told him where the bathroom was and he stood there for a second and asked me again. I think he was trying to get me to walk him to the bathroom but I only pointed it out from down the hall. Once he finally went into the bathroom my heart was pounding because I just knew he wasn't actually a vacuum seller but someone who knew I was home alone. I opened up all the windows and doors just so people could hear if something happened. I had a pit bull at the time so I let him come inside and I grabbed a knife and just sat on the couch. He was in the bathroom for almost 10 minutes.......... I think he was in there contemplating on what to do because I know he didn't actually use the bathroom.......... I didn't hear the toilet flush or the sink turn on so he was definitely up to something. When he finally came out he just stood by the front door for a sec and he had this weird look on his face. He said thank you and walked out. I think he got scared because of my dog. I am soo lucky nothing happend. I was pregnant at the time too.

True.
I was a Man United supporter in the Man City stand when played them at their ground a few years ago. Couldn't help give a small cheer when we scored against them.
It was a "feet don't fail me now" moment!

True. I've gone through several earthquakes.
The last earthquake in September was noticibly larger - I guessed 6.3 on the Richter Scale - it turned out it was only 6.1
