To the person asking who would sign him: Someone WILL sign him because let's face it, he still hits homeruns (usually right after a good injection, I think) and gets walked a lot. So they could utilize him in the lineup hitting in front of a power hitter. Chances are he'll be put on base quite a bit and give the next guy a chance for some RBIs. He'll go to Oakland more than likely.

I believe you need to look no further than Oakland and about a $10 million one year deal. His fan base is in the area and I don't believe any other team will take a chance on running off their fans and/or having syringes thrown on the field at home games.

I'd put my money on either the Twins, Athletics or LA Angels. They should sign him for less, considering his age and only pay him more by way of bonuses for plate appearances. He's not worth more than 3.5mm a season nowadays, even if he did pass the record up.

No group will touch a participant with a federal indictment ...particularly man or woman who might desire interior the component to $10+ million for one season. somebody might have signed him before the indictment, yet now there is definitely no way it happens - financial corporation on it.

I'm hoping it'll be the Devil Rays, the home of soon-to-be-traded hot prospects and washed up veterans. I think he could squeeze $7 million out of them.
