Certainly is - all the nasal eye throat passages are connected. Horrid though!

It's not abnormal to experience this. It's because of the nasolacrimal duct. This duct carries tears (and eyedrops if they happen to be in the eyes) into the nasal cavity. Don't forget that you can breathe through your nose as well as your mouth, right? So, whatever passes through your nasal cavity is going to reach the back of your throat. From there it can go either into the trachea or the esophagus depending on where you send it. We're talking about a liquid, remember. It will reach your taste buds.

confident, and no. Your eyes have ducts that drain into your nasal passages which then in turn drain into the returned of your throat. once you cry the surplus is what reasons your nostril to be runny on a similar time. thus it sound like the attention drops did their interest and the surplus became cleared interior the direction of the ducts into your nostril after which down the returned of your throat with some mucus, hence the undesirable flavor.

Yeah, don't worry you're not a complate weirdo. It happens to me too, i'm not sure how it gets from my eyes to my throat, but obviously there is a pathway.
Ever see the woman who could suck up milk through her nose and make it come out of her eyes asif she was crying...? it was in the guiness book of world records i think, quite a while ago though, i guess that shows there is some path. haha. I'm random i know haha.

Yep. I was on atropine eye drops for a year and I hated that metallic taste. You eyes, ears, and throat are all connected.

it might not be 'normal' but it is possible. if you over-load your eye with drops, the excess can flow down your tear duct into your nasal passage and then down the back of your throat.
