We have had heavy rain lately and the community pools have developed a large muddy spot like a swamp! It is where people have to walk through all the time and people are slipping over. We have to use this walk way and putting stuff over it stops the grass coming back.

of utter disbelief? Working from the understanding that there are those on here that aren't the "sharpest knife in the drawer".

Did our "common ancestors" have an immortal soul?

If you say they didn't, I'm sure that even the "usual suspects" here will be smart enough to realize that no matter how you phrase it, (usually full of sophistry) it is contra-Christianity because we believe that we possess an immortal soul. By espousing evolution, you are, conciously, or by default, seeking to overturn Christianity in favor of a your no-God belief. This is what Christians need to understand.

I've seen answers that say Albert Einsteindidn't believe in God and answers that say he did.
Here is what he said:
"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religion than it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

"I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotism."

"I do not believe in the immortality of the individual, and I consider ethics to be an exclusively human concern with no superhuman authority behind it."

"If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed."

It seems that in recent years as Homosexual people have come out and demanded thier right to live their lives openly and with a lover a number of churches ranging form Fundamentalist to Catholic have responded by stating that they do love us and care about us but firmly believe that homosexuality is sinfull and that we should be celibate. Through experience I believe that approach is bull---- because in the past there was similiar arrangement called segregation(Seperate but equal), which in actuality was not. Segregation was the practice of many christians. The truth is that The belief of "it is fine to be who you are but....." has proven to be unrealistic and unworkable.

I've had this dinosaur for years and last month I found out it makes excellent photographs with the right paper. It is great for a $99 machine. But now when I scan it will only let me use the preview button which works and shows the copy on my screen, when I "scan" you can hear the scanner scanning and the scan status window opens and goes from 100% to 0, then the lexmark window sits for 3 seconds with no doc showing and then the whole window closes. It still copies good, but when I try to save, email or edit the docs it scans and closes itself. I've shut off the whole pc overnight, unplugged all electric on and off, and when I remove the usb cable from either the machine or the pc you can hear the pc ding proving the cable is working correct. Any ideas, or time to buy new?

I just removed some foam toddler bumpers from our wooden table and the double-sided foam tape is stuck to the wood. We tried to peel off the tape but the adhesive is still stuck there and sometimes the foam part rips off. What's the best way to get it all off without destroying the wood or varnish?

(this was a dumb mistake in the first place, I know...)

I am 5 feet and 24 and I am around 128lbs.I am not wanting to be super skinny so I am alright with that weight however losing a few pounds is not a bad idea either.Anyhow I am wanting to know if anyone could suggest some good workouts that will help me tone up a bit.I am an hr glass shape but for the most part most of my weight is in my butt and legs.I would really like to tone up my legs so I will feel good enough to wear shorts.I just seem to have some fat around my knees and thats gross! Also my arms used to be 15 1/2 inches after losing weight they are now 11 1/2 so im needing to tone those up as well..Thanks!

I have a 3 month old who has always fought to go to sleep. She wants her passi to sleep but of course won't hang onto it. She has that tongue thrust reflex and pushes it out. While she is napping during the day, and I can keep an eye on her, I fold up a burp cloth and wedge it next to her so she can spit the passi out. But at night, I don't do that, because I can't see her and I don't want her to cover her face with it. She moves around so much as she is trying to fall asleep that she pulls the passi out and I have to stand there next to her crib holding the passi until she falls asleep - sometimes and hour or more and at 2 in the morning it is exhausting. Sometimes I rock her to sleep, but she usually wakes up as I put her back in her crib and I am back to square one. Has anyone gone through this and might have any tips/suggestion/advice. Please help - I need sleep!!!!

part of it's empire to be ruled over by the US & Israeli Govts?

-That would take care of Iran's nukes/radical mullahs

-Terrorists would be have to spend all of their time fighting US/Israel militaries in the muslim mideast (which is pretty much what they are doing right now)

-There wouldn't be any threat of a larger regional civil war in the Mideast between Sunnis & Shiites.

-And the Israeli military would essentially quadruple in size because of the permenant US military presence in Iraq.

I just read an article that basically said if you're buying something and you want a lower price, just ask. I know people haggle to get lower prices at yard sales, maybe farmers' markets, but do you do this no matter where you go? Do you always ask for a lower price or do you just pay what the marked price is? If you're a haggler, what success stories can you share?

I have been taking zoloft for almost 2 months now for anxiety. I can not find my bottle of medicine. This is the second day I have not taken it. My eyes feel almost like they are heavy and I feel very sad(almost like when you are tired). Is it true if I make too much out of not taking it, it will be worse then if I think it's not that big of a problem? Should I call my doctor and would she be able to get me a new bottle of the prescription? I am totally embarassed that I lost it.
