A.) Write the equation to the tangent line to the prabola y=x^2 @ (a,a^2).
B.) Find all tangent lines to the parabola y = x^2 that pass through (0,-2).

----Now let (c,d) be a point which may or may not lie on the parabola.
C.) Make a conjecture as to how many tangent lines of the parabola pass through a given point (c,d). How does the answer depend on the point (c,d)?
D.) Give conditions on c and d which tells us whether we have exactly 0, 1 or 2 tangent lines through (c,d).
E.) What do these conditions tell us about the location of the point (c,d) with respect to the parabola?

Some help please? I am lost with this problem and it's due tomorrow.

We were just engaged a week and a half ago and want to plan a wedding for THIS December. Any useful tips on how to go about planning a small, very cheap wedding? We want to have around 80 guests or less, affordable catering, and the entire even to be held in the church (wedding and reception). We are not having a dance or anything like that, just food and non-alcoholic drinks for the reception. Does anybody have good ideas for inexpensive centerpieces, dresses, and everything else we'll be needing to pull this off? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Carson Palmer is just going to burn their secondary all night. I can see him throwing for five touchdowns. Brady? He's going to be facing a surprisingly tough Bengals pass defense, especially since he has only played against absolutely horrible defenses this season.

The cultural values that the ancient Greeks possess are literature, love, sports, art, music, and entertainment. There are many reasons for the purpose of the myths such as an early form of science, to explain nature, for entertainment, and sometimes, and to explain nothing at all. Also, the ancient Greeks valued their gods, hence the gods established errors as the humans did.

OK, so I'm fourteen and I've been an extremely political individual since I was five years old, listening to my Conservative Republican Father argue with my Democrat Grandfather. Both are hard-working, intelligent people, so I was captivated by the discussion. Then I remember asking my parents when the 2000 election came "which party likes freedom?" of course, they told me "The Republicans" so I rooted for Bush. Then on 9/11, I couldn't get to sleep from the jets flying over our house, and I had so many questions to ask about it. Anyway, so after reading some books and doing some research I became a Democrat. But I've come to realize that NONE of my classmates have any clue about current events beyond "If we let the Mexicans in, then the terrorists will follow", "Hillary Is good because the will stop the Iraq" and "Anarchy is people fighting and going crazy in the street". I'm driven to wonder "Is it anyone's fault"? Why don't these kids know anything?
