I (many years ago) got engaged in June, wanted a December wedding and did not want to wait a year and a half, so I had about 6 months total. I got my bridesmaids dresses on a clearance rack at JC Penney (all the major department stores have formal-wear now and usually Macy's has a great sale) If you're near a (i.e) JC Penney Outlet store.... cheap, cheap, cheap!; centerpieces can be as simple as pretty little vases with colored sand and candles in them, they can be taller vases filled with real or silk flowers (from the craft store), mirror tiles with something pretty on them... I'm just throwing out ideas to get you started. None of these are by any means complete thoughts.
I have noticed that a lot of the dollar stores have some wedding decoration supplies.
If you can find a copy, you may want to look at a book called "The Ultimate Weedding & Ceremony Workbook for the Planning Impaired" (ISBN 0-9664992-3-9)
Good luck, and congrats!

Location: Morning ceremony followed by a cake reception in the parish hall. Have a few toasts with sparkling wine, eat some cake, and mingle for a bit (no more than an hour and half). Do not skimp on the cake; it is the highlight of this reception. It might be nice if afterwards, you and your immediate families (parents, siblings) went to lunch at a nice resturant.
Attire: For your dress, buy a white bridesmaid dress or an informal gown. Have one attendent each (the maid of honor and best man). Let the maid of honor wear a nice dress of her choosing, and have the best man in a suit. You can have a flower girl and ring bearer if you want, but just have them in their Sunday's best.
Everything else: Order simple flowers from Jewel. Don't skip the photographer (you'll want the memories). Buy DIY invitations from Michaels. With a cake reception, you don't need enough seats for everyone (they'll be mingling). If you choose to have tables, though, you can find inexpensive centerpieces at Michaels or a party store.

Go to a department store for dresses. Centerpieces can be simple arrangements bought at a grocery store... I think our safeway has fairly nice arrangments in the $20-$40 range. Look for wedding sections at party and discount stores. Ask around for a friend of a friend or family memeber who can cater. Put an ad out on your local craigslist or flyer at a local school for a cheap photographer. Usually students who haven't established a name or a professional portfolio yet will work for cheaper and still have quality photos. Remember that getting married and celebrating that union is more important that the dress or the centerpieces.

ok the superb suggestion for you would be this, a million. Get married on the magistrate 2. go out to a resturant for the reception 3. jointly as he's long previous back then you definitely plan the enormous shindig! you've a miles less stressfull time going approximately it this sort! i might have accomplished this myself yet we had to watch for my Divorce to be very final. And we actually needed everybody there. You dont have the posh of time! I say hit upon an particularly great reasturant which could accomidate you with a private ceremonial dinner facility for in basic terms you and your wedding ceremony travelers! Congrats and better of success!

davids bridal was just having a $99 dress event. also check out homecoming dresses. some of them would b great bridesmaids dresses u mite even find one to work for u. if u have a wicks and sticks they rent out candle (amazingly beautiful!!!) centerpeices however they cost about $8/ centerpeice but u have to pay a deposit of the total price (so if ur rental is $100 u ahve to pay $200 but u get the other 100 back when u return them) also try just a simple vase and flower w/ candles. (check family dollar and dollar stores they have cheap candles and candle holders) candles r a great asset to any wedding and dinner. they look nice and set a great mood.

Get your dress at David's Bridal or someplace like that..you don't have time to order one, and they have alot of sales. Get bridesmaid's dresses there as well, or go to a department store and get simple but elegant dresses. Get something like hurricane glasses and put pillar candles in them, and surrond them with pretty flowers at the base for centerpieces. If you have a big church family, or a big family...let them cook the meal..it will be much cheaper. Places like walmart even do wedding cakes now..that would be very affordable. Buy bolts of tulle, and put christmas lights in it for simple, pretty decoratons, and lots of candles. This makes it look very elegent, but cheaper than lots of flowers. Good luck!

Have members of the church help you make the food.
You could just do orderves. No alcohol.
If you do it around christmas, you can use christmas decorations which you already have.
Guy could wear a suit (Cheaper than a tux.)
See online (freecycle.org or craigslist in your area) and see if you can get free artificial flowers or stuff for your center piece.
Dollar store is great for that stuff too.
You could look through second hand stores for a bridal dress or she could borrow a friends.
Ask around for people who do photography as a hobbie. We did this and got great pictures and it was cheap!. Its not about the money you spend, its the memories you make.
Congratulations on your wedding!
