I am going to start breeding bettas, and I read in part of my research that they tend to produce faster in dark conditions. My plan is to place a ten gallon tank in my garage. Is there any aquatic plant that would subtain to this conditions?

I've been doing it the cheap way, with a manilla folder and I've also used a couple of mylar sheets. Obviously the mylar works best, but the folder gets the job done pretty good. Any suggestions on other materials?

I have a pure bred border collie that is 2 almost 3 years old with
papers but we use her mostly for working and she also competes in agility and herding and she is a fantastic family dog, we have a friend with a male Australian Cattle Dog and he is about 3 1/2, and
we are considering breeding her, but the pups would be for working
use, so we would be keeping most of them and so would the studs owner. So we are
not selling the pups. We both have farms, with cows, sheep, ect. And
his dog is also used for work on the farm. So do you think it is a
good idea to mix the 2 breeds for working dogs? Thanks everyone.

My father has been going downhill for about a year now, with steadily getting more involved with cocaine. He has started spending his monthly Social Security check (which he would pay the rent with) which is now inevitably forcing me to pay his rent since my mother is still with him. She is incredibly passive and practically helpless.
Just recently he stumbled upon my checkbook and started writing checks to himself to get more money for his drugs. I know that I could press charges on him, but he is 64 years old and I dont want to see him rot away in jail.
Does anyone have any logical advice?

I only have a really basic idea of this film. I think it's 50's or 60's and is about a group of men (possibly depression era) who have to transport something very explosive on trucks. They have to keep the trucks at exactly the same speed and can't stop whatever happens. One scene has one of the men getting trapped in front of the trucks and his friends have no choice but to run him over as they cannot stop.
Anyone have any clues??!!

I could do this for a year or two.
The fellow next door is making espresso,
