All of the passages for me are as a poetical comparison to the human longing for God and in a veiled way also reflect the relationship between Christ and His Bride the church.
A similar comparison can be made with the epic poem of Francis Thompson entitled `The Hound of Heaven`

all of it its a love story you say it to your husband i say it to my wife he say it to you we been marry 23 years its funny to say at first but we did it 22 yrs ago and i guess it worked love dad .
