Can anyone give me a short plot summary of the book The Giver by Lois Lowry?

When i say a short plot summary, i mean I need a really GOOD , TWO or THREE paragraphs, please!

A boy living in an extremely structured society where everyone is happy, is chosen to become the next person to inherit the "memories" of when the world was still at war, had sickness, etc. No one else knows about these times except him and the giver. With the memories he can't stand the society he was born in so he leaves.

This book is an awesome read!!! Do not try and find someone else to do your work. Read the book. You are really missing something here if you don't read it.

If you are too lazy to read the book, then why should we go through all the effort to write 2-3 paragraphs for you? It is a really good book, you need to read it.

actually cammie nobody's lazy, im on a cyberschooled computer and i cant get the book unless i buy it, and unfortunatley im to young to buy it
