Guys seldom see me "that way", and I never get asked out to wild parties. While talking to an aquaintance some time ago she said that there is a "purity" to me. I don't have to be a wild woman, but I feel like life is passing me by. What is it about a person that makes people think that a person is too "pure" to ask out to a bar or on a date?

Since lead is more dense than water, and the density of a substance will always be the same no matter what size, than (1)how come a very small piece of lead can float on water????
(2)Is this only because of surface tension? Or is there more?

(3) Is density the only key to whether or not a substance will float in the presence of another, or is the bouyant force totally different than just density?!?!?!?!

Our Govt have spy drones everywhere and high definition cameras with night vision and infra red sensors and stuff which they dont have in the "dictatorship" of Burma.
So while they can go home at night and come back to protest next day, we will be picked up at home at night. This is why we dont protest ant this is the reality of Big Brother in the Western World

As if the week couldn't get any worse. I was teaching my dog how to shake and he got hold of the bag that the small treats come in. The bag was probably about 3in x 3in and had a small piece of paper inside of it. He didn't cough or gag or anything, it was like one swift motion he inhaled it. He is a 13 week puppy, Weimaraner to be exact and is about 2 feet long and a foot high. What should i do, wait for it to pass, play it out to see if he starts to show signs, go to the vet right away?

I was at a pool recently and saw a group of about 6 mothers and kids who were "chicken fighting". I think it was a family, cousins, aunts...and the kids were about 9 or 10, mainly boys. After a while of the kids fighting on the mom's shoulders, one of the ladies laughed and said that it was their turn now. It was a joke, but they started trying it. I was amazed how many of the kids could actually lift the women on their shoulders! Most of the women were at least twice the size of the kids, but some of the kids could lift most of the women. There was a girl who could not lift anyone, and one heavier woman who nobody could lift, but overall, it was very surprising. It seemed that a couple of the shorter kids actually had more luck! The kids did not look to be unusually big, and the women were not particularly thin, except for one.
Is this unusual for kids to be able to do this? Did I see something amazing, or does this happen often?

The kid (age 6?) across the street likes to come over almost everyday to play with my daughter (8) and step-son (17 & disabled).

I don't mind that. But he is just so irritating. He asks 50 million questions, and if you are having an adult conversation with someone or speaking to someone else he will but his nose in.

We also have specific rules for our kids. #1- We want them to stay in the yard at all times. #2 - No riding their bike on the lawn. #3 - Due to problems with the teenage punk behind us we no longer allow them to play in the back-yard unless there is an adult present (this is a WHOLE other topic). And #4 - NO playing in the garage or around vehicles.

He is always talking my kids into leaving the yard. I always catch him riding his bike on our lawn. And just today I caught him about 5 times in my garage with his bike, around my car! And the last time I flipped and yelled at him.

He just bothers me and my hubby so freakin much. What should we do?

I may only be in 8th grade, but I have very big plans for my future! I plan to open a restaurant when I am older. I plan to call it Just Desserts. And as you probably have guesses, it will only serve desserts. It isn't exactly going to be a bakery though. But I need a little help. How should I plan oppening it. I am already going to have my friends taste test my recipes, but what else can I do to make sure it could be succsessful enough that it may even start a chain?

u kno how people can picture their life like years from now. i'm in my late 20's just graduate college and i try to picture my life and i swear i draw a blank. i can't see myself! I don't have an urge to have kids like most women do and I don't see MY future and I don't "feel" a future for me like others do. maybe I don't see a future b/c I'm not gonna have one, could that be? does this mean i'm gonna die young?? I say that cuz some celebrities that died -- it's been said they "knew" they weren't going to get old and die - they were gonna check out before their time. how do I know this isn't me too - i'm worried.

Girls and Guys in their 20s: A Question?
I have friends who are getting married and others that are not even in relationships. I myself have never been in a relationship and I am a single, straight, 28 year old male. I have not even had my first kiss yet, but I digress. The thing I find astounding is the fact that my friends seem to be acting more like aging women than young men. They constantly talk about finding a woman to settle down with and having children. Who the hell wants to rush into that in this day and age? 30 is the new 20! These people obviously didn't get the message. Being single has allowed me to work full time and still live at home with my parents and other adult siblings (24, 26). I go to school for my masters and have some spare time and money on the side as I have no rent to pay etc. What I find even more disturbing are the parents that actually seem to push their children to date, get married and have children. I am fortunate in that mine do not. Anyone have any thoughts regarding my observations?
