In the early 1970’s I joined the US Coast Guard and swore an Oath to uphold the laws of the USA. During my service I made friends closer than brothers. We risked our lives to enforce US maritime safety laws, port security, anti-narcotic patrols and anti-illegal immigration operations. I am proud of that service and the men and women who sweat, cried and bleed with me. Some of them died that others might live. 27 personal saves and crew for 275 other saves are not the least of the service. Some shipmates died on those patrols doing rescue of fools who were trying to break our laws. Now people say that they have a right to break our laws. Those statements throw away the lives of my shipmates. American, illegal alien, or politicians one and all are despicable! Is it wrong for me to hate those who would do that?
