Then you better use it as much as you can, have as much fun with it as you can, be creative because you will be creating memories for a life time, the memories is what you will have once it's gone, set up a camcorder to record it even better, then one day we can all sit around the P&S campfire, you can show it to us and reminesce!!

I think you should worry. It sounds pretty serious!!!!!
I would hold on to it and shake it real hard.
If it doesn't fall off, you should be fine.
