Are there any other things that are considered unacceptable by some people that Jesus never mentioned?

Please see my other question. Jesus NEVER mentioned spousal abuse. So the excuse that "Jesus never mentioned it so it must be okay" should no longer be used.

If I make some people angry with this, I apologize. Please don't misinterpret what I'm saying. I am NOT equating homosexuality with spousal abuse, so please don't read that into this whole thing. I'm just making what I believe is a valid point, and wondering if there are other things Jesus failed to mention.

I mean, surely they must realise how *damaging* it is to a child to experience academic and social achievement, even to feel satisfaction in a job well done?
Where will the craziness end? Back in my day, we *learnt* the value of being uneducated, and look at how open minded and clever I've turned out to be?
Maybe *some* very *selfish* mothers should not work, home school their children, grow their own vegatables, and weave their children's *non-teflon coated* clothing from discarded drain hair?

If, as some claim, there is a God that loves us, then why does he/she/it allow such disasters to happen? Does this not show either A: That such an entity does not exist or B: If it does exist, it is not benign and is therefore undeserving of our worship?

my boyfriend and i are engaged in a distant relationship. he's 10yrs older than i and he's currently a year wed to someone who's distant from him also but as to him their marriage is dysfunctional. my parents knew about him but they didn't know yet that we're going steady. they totally opposed the idea. i love them all but i know i have to choose. all my life i obeyed my parents and now i'm experiencing the beauty and the curse of it. beauty: coz without them i won't be where i am now and curse: i don't have the total liberty to choose how i'm going to live my life. i have seen how my parents worked so hard even if at times they are mocked and belittled. i am already 23 yrs old but i always consider their advise and sentiments. I am now confused of how to do about it. My boyfriend is my first and we're totally in love and even considered the idea of getting married after his marriage is anulled but would it be selfish if i'll choose him over my parents?

As far as I know artery carries pure blood - it braches into arterioles - it reaches cells - arterioles divide into fine capillaries- interact with cells- provides oxygen , take CO2 and other waste materials out. Then this capillaries join to make larger vessel known as vein -veins carry waste materials , CO2 etc.
But I have recently learned that the renal arteries do contain waste materials and they are filtered via neprons located at two kidneys.
Now my question is, how are this waste materials get into artery blood which(artery) is not supposed to interact with any cells?
Please help!!

At the village shop this morning the following conversation:

"I think Mr. W. had the wrong newspaper delivered this morning"
"Telephone him and ask then"
"No - we are not allowed to do that"
"why?
"Because he might think that we are questioning his political leanings!"

Absolutely true!
Has the world gone mad?
If somebody rang me to ask if I had received the desired newspaper this morning - I don't know that the first thought that would cross my mind would be - "are these people trying to find out how I voted four years ago!"

A friend of mine asked the chap in the garden centre if a water feature that she had her eye on was very expensive. His reply was "I would rather not comment madam as my answer may offend your financial standing" ???

What in the name of all that is good and holy is going on?

PLEASE - I WILL NOT BE OFFENDED - JUST GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER!

Or if I am offended I shall walk out of your shop - and slam the door!

Marriage is one of the biggest committments you will ever make. It takes trust, devotion, patience, compromise, teamwork... I could go on and on. I want to know what you guys think is the hardest thing about marriage, and be HONEST. Do you think it's:
*Having to always consider someone else along with (or ahead of) yourself
*Having to see and put up with the same person every day for years
*Having to resist the temptation of other people
*Your partner's unchangeable "quirks"
*Or something else, whatever you think is the hardest thing.
To me, it would probably be my husband's "quirks." They aren't really quirks; he suffers from a mental illness and some emotional/psychological problems that make him hard to deal with at times. I would say learning how to deal with those things was the hardest part of marrying him, because once I married him that was it. I bought it, whether I wanted it or not, so to speak. But that's kind of a unique thing. I want to hear what ya'll think.

A The tilt of the Earth’s axis constantly changes between 0 and 23.5 degrees, giving us summer when the Earth is tilted more and winter when it is straight up.
B As the Earth goes around the Sun and the Earth’s axis remains pointed toward the North Celestial Pole, the Northern and Southern hemispheres alternately receive more and less direct sunlight.
C The Earth’s distance from the Sun varies, so that it is summer when we are closer to the Sun and winter when we are farther from the Sun.
D Seasons are caused by the periodic changes in the Sun’s surface temperature. When the temperature is highest, we have summer. When the temperature is lowest, we have winter.
E Seasons are caused by the influence of the planet Jupiter on our orbit.

I always see what I would consider to be thw wrong height conversions when giving someones height.

I.E. I hae just read a news report from a world-famous news service who quoted someones height as 5'9" (175cm).

The conversion into cm is wrong - 5'9" is 179cm, not 175.

I see this all the time, across a lot of different mediums, including sports.

Why is this, when clearly the conversions are WRONG? I know this question is a bit lame, but this is just annoying me a bit because so many media insitutions when quoting heights always seem to convert inches into cm wrong.

Or am I converting inches wrongly?

Thanks for your help.
