I have been hurt emotionally, by my dad, half sister,and a few other family members...I really feel like I should wipe them out of my life by not talking to them or seeing them anymore? I really don't feel like talking to them is going to help them understand how I feel. What do you all think I should do?

These thugs can kill and are not liable to prosecution form Iraq or the US Military. In otherwords, they have a free liscense to do what they want. Isn't this what Mussolini gave his "blackshirts" and Hitler gave his 'brownshirts?" The ability to kill and destroy not only Jews, but anybody or anything that got in their way with no fear of prosicution?
And we're supposed to be installing Democracy? Saving Iraq from Al Qaida?

My daughter and her boyfriend recently went to the courthouse to be married by the J.P. so that they could "go ahead and live together." Now they are planning a church wedding which is going to be about 2 months since the actual "J.P." wedding. While I respect their reasons for wanting to make it "legal" before living together, I have never heard of re-doing the whole thing (rings, etc) only 2 months later. It seems kind of awkward and not sure what to tell guests. And what day should their anniversaries fall on? Both ceremonies? I realize that these days pretty much anything goes with weddings and I want my daughter to be happy, but has anyone else ever heard of this? Thanks!

In the Judeo-Christian religions, we have the 10 commandments. One of the commandments is : Thou shall not kill (often phrased in a variety of ways). Does Buddhism anr/or Hinduism also have a similar commandment? If so, how is it phrased?

My golden retriver is 1 years old he is a purebred. People say that he should weigh about 60-80 but he weighs only 43 pound is this a problem? Also he has been eating regularly and is eating all the essential vitamins he needs. He is also a few inches shorter than he is by around 8 inches. I got him when he was 8 weeks old. Even though he may not be as stron as other dogs he will still be my best friend.

I found a lot that is 22x650', a little over 3.1 acres. It is in the middle of nowhere, no electricity, no water, etc. It will be a "members only" range for smaller weapons like .22 LR, air guns, .410 or 28 gauge shotguns, maybe .22 WMR's. The back 75' of the land rises about 12'. The land on either side is not as flat and not a great building site. The chances of finding neighbors building anytime soon is slim. Way beyond the back side is a home, about 1/2 mile away. Their property line reaches this property line, but its all brush and woods, as well as the other side of the hill. This is a rough idea of what it would lay out like...

The Torah (or old testament to Christians) says that you must obey your parents. This is where my question stems. My biological mother abandoned me when I was 2 years old. She stood in front of a judge and said word for word "I do not want that child." My father remarried and his wife raised me - I respect her and think of her as my mother.

Now the problem arises - my biological mother has returned and she demands that I spend time with her. She even had the nerve to tell me that I cannot call my step-mother mom (I do anyways). I do not want a relationship with this woman - she did not see me worthy of her love 18 years ago so I do not see a reason to even recognize her. However the Torah (OT) and 10 commandments says to honor and obey your parents. Biologically she is my mother - emotionally she is not. What do I do?
