Mosque is house of God, meaning a special worshipping place for One God. Zakat is not allowed to be used in mosque because Zakat is for poor people only. Some countries government is arranaging mosque and in others peoples donations are running the mosque. It is open and free for either he give or no. This is not a compulsory or fixed tax. People give as they like. I know some people who are rich, they are going to the mosques but they never give any money. There are some poor or middle class who are giving. It depend in personal will, nobody ask.

Asalamu Alaikum
Because in a Mosque everyone knows they have a responsibility to give Zakah (Charity). There is almost always a Charity box somewhere in the building and it is up to the individual to give. It is between them and God. If they do not give to the needy than they are not in submission. It is there choice. Do as God has commanded and give the charity, or don't do it and be a hypocrite. If you believe you give without being asked. If you have no savings then you are not abliged to give money and you should not feel guilty for being poor.
Peace Upon you!

If you are going to mosques all the time, I would think that you would have an opportunity to ask the people in the mosque.
Additionally religious intitutions are often supported by the contributions of their members. Most of the regular members of my church have automatic withdrawal. We pass a collection basket for those who like to give the old fashioned way. Guests are asked to keep their money in their pockets. They are our guests.

there became somewhat mosque precise close to the school the place I taught. I have been given the telephone style from the front door and talked approximately as them. They have been very pleased to fulfill with me and welcomed my college type for a bypass to. We discovered somewhat approximately how mosques are set up in the previous we went, so the infants felt arranged and the people there have been inspired that we could desire to have enjoyed to understand.

Why are you "walking into mosques all the time"? Is it a short cut on the way to work or something? Are there that many around you that you can't help but walk into them?
Perhaps they think you are with the FBI?

There is great order in the sky and the sea and there is order on the earth, if you see it or not that's your own problem not anyone elses. Scapegoat as you like but its not any ones problem but your own.
Did you ever hear the term Pay yourself first! Well that's what you all do, pay yourselves and heed not any warnings. How nice is that!
Notice when intelligence comes they battle it with ignorance its always the left behind that complain.

Have you looked at the five pillars of Islam? One of them is called Zakat or Zakah - alms giving. .Zakah in current usage is a 2.5% levy on most valuables and savings. Many Shi'ites are expected to pay an additional amount in the form of a khums tax, which they consider to be a separate ritual practice

You wouldn't get asked for money in a synagogue either.
As for the mosque(s) - I hope you are polite enough to take your shoes off first.

i am sure they have persons in the mosque contribute monies that make donations...and i would assume they want you to give free of your own will instead on being pressured or making u feel guilty for not giving your last..unlike most churches
