He suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. It can be controlled, but never really cured

I don't remember. But I do remember seeing the real guy that the movie was based on. It was weird. He just looked so perfectly normal. He was at some awards program.

Schizophrenia. Therapy and medication can help but I don't think it ever totally goes away.
