Here is a simple statement of my beliefs:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell. [See Calvin]
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

Would you call me a Christian?

I just want your opionions on being fully prepared for a baby (job, long term fiance (6 yrs.) schooling, and very stable money wise) but....18 years old. Is it so wrong? If so, why?

Since I'm asking for others opinions, let me give mine first. I've always been rather mature for my age and I've had to grow up way too fast so, now at my age I've gotten to the point mentally where I'm prepared and ready to settle down and have a family. Why is it made such a point that a person should not have a child so young and have fun? When in all reality, to me...fun would be having a family with the man I love. Okay, so I know there will be negative comments towards this. In that case, what is "fun while young"? Drinking? Partying? Sleeping around? etc.

Please do not bash me. This is a very serious important question. I am a grown woman with good parents who have done all the preaching already with my life. I don't need it to hear it. constructive would be nice though.

Thanks.

Sorry this is a long one.My mother-in-law passed away 4 years ago. My father-in-law started dating 2 weeks later. He dated several women who really did not care about having his children or grandchild in her life. He did meet one lady about 5 months later. No one had a good feeling about this woman. Come to find out I dated her son when I was a teenager and am still good friends with him and his wife. (They helped take care of my daughter when I was in the hospital for a while before my mohter-in-law passed away). My husband and his sister have not ever gotten along with her. She has changed my father-in-law. They were married a year ago. I never know what to call her because she will never be my mother-in-law. I always say she is the woman my father-in-law married. Does anyone have this going on. Serious answers only please.

I ask you where did you get your ideas and beliefs? Were your parents an influence? Were your parents
beliefs different from yours? I thought this would be an interesting question...but I guess we shall see...

okay so next semester i am planning on trying out for our high school's hip hop/ step team...
Currently i am a student at a dance studio taking private lessons for hip hop ( i have been doing hip hop for about almost a year) ..and my dance instructor is helping me doing choreo for the 2nd part of the try outs ( the 2nd part you have to perform your own routine.) and both of the teachers who run the team both know i dance and want me to try out...
i really have no doubt that i could make it with this choreography... that is, if my nerves wouldn't get the best of me! >.<
What should I expect at the try outs (the 1st portion is learning one of their routines) and any tips for the nerves?
Hopefully once the music starts...all the nervousness will drain out of me!
i really want to make this team more than anything!!!

Okay, I have a part-time, just over minimum wage job as a photographer in a portrait studio. When I get off work, and the manager goes in next, she calls me to discuss my work, how much money we made that day, and other work-related matters that I feel can and should be discussed either with the person on hand (our every transaction is on a sheet by the register, and the girl who relieved me this afternoon would have been able to tell her exact dollar amounts) or with me the next time I am working.

As in, when I'm working, I don't spend my time on the phone with my husband or my kids' school or doctor, or I don't do any other personal business. When I'm at home with my family, I don't want to have to dread my cell phone ringing to talk about work with my boss.

Is that something that sounds alright to you, or is it reasonable to want to not have her call me on my time off unless there is some emergency or she has a question that can't wait?

ok I met this girl in my music class she is drop dead amazing, i already am in a crush with her, i facebooked her and asked her if she wanted to go to this party with me so i picked her up, and we talked most of the time, and i ended up making out with her. she pushed me away and told me she had a b/f. later than night she ended up kissing me. and when i dropped her off she kissed me.i asked her to go to the movies, she sais ok. then she sais she doesnt think she can go. so i asked her and she sais she wants to be just friends. I can tell she likes me, but shes been dating this kid for 2 months. she told me to call her after class but i didnt till after, I wrote her a poem, and she met me for coffee, i gave her the poem then we went to the mall. after i didnt kiss her when i dropped her off, and texted her asking her if she liked the poem. and she said " I cant hangout with you anymore". and i said tell me your feelings and she said " I like my b/f alot and i dont like you that way".
