That's brilliant! I'll never look at a paperclip again without remembering what you said they were/are/whatever! Guess that's why wire hangers tend to bunch up & entangle in closets...they're, erm, breeding. Watch your desk drawer 32 days later*....!?

Actually the theory that Safety Pins are wire coat hanger larvae was proved by Avram Davidson MANY years ago!
